It seems obvious to me why they hate trans people. They hate gay people because it's not natural to be attracted to someone with the other sex - it's against God's will. Of course it's even more unnatural to believe that your own sex is different from the one that God gave you. And if it's appropriate to separate the sexes - not just in terms of sports, but in terms of locker rooms and bathrooms and dorms and the military - of course they're not going to want someone to switch sides simply because they "believe" that they're the opposite sex.

You guys really are overthinking this. They hate trans because they are different. Trumpkins also have a shared trait of extremely black/white thinking, and the concept of transgender is entirely too gray for them to handle so they reject it. They do this with literally everything.

I’m talking rank and file supporters, I have no idea what the GOP’s motive is other than exploiting these traits in their credulous followers.

I don't disagree at all - I think it's obvious that they hate trans people because they're different. I just wrote all that because I'm stunned that Clovis is like, "Whoa, I know that conservatives hate black people and women and gay people, but I am totally not sure how they can hate trans people."

The stock market, like basically everything else that is currently pointing towards "good" in the US, is a TRAILING indicator. Trump is literally riding on Obama's coattails. The only thing he's accomplished is to give rich people a huge permanent tax cut and working people $5/month temporarily until the tax hikes kick in.

“Carpetbagger” used as a derisive term for liberals i’ve lately seen thrown around on the conservative groups i follow, in a way that doesnt make any kind of sense. They’re local groups and i’m in socal. I don’t think any of them have any clue what that term means, but for the life of me I can’t figure out where it’s coming from or which pundit they’re parroting.
