They could leak it to the Times or the Post and ask for anonymity. And you don't think any of these guys made personal copies of the report for themselves for just this sort of scenario, to prevent whitewashing by the Trump administration? Not too hard to make a copy on a SIM card or something, Snowden did it at the NSA ffs.
And even if no one on the Mueller team has made such a copy for insurance against whitewashing (which, come on) they could still go to the Times and say that this section is improperly redacted, this is what it says, this is what Barr is trying to hide. It would be easy and their anonymity would be protected.
