How could a Republican convince another Republican that the information which was withheld was necessarily done so for security/privacy/whatever reasons? Heavens it must be impossible!

And this unauthorized leak hardly seems like it would be far-fetched. And the threat of that leak provides Barr with a strong incentive to not be too liberal with the redactions. If he covers up something important and material with a redaction and then that section of the report is leaked in dacted form, it makes Trump and Barr look even worse than had it just been released in the first place.

it's bigly possible, i'd say at this point probable, that trump acts as putin's puppet and uses his position as president of the united states to ingratiate himself to putin NOT because he's being blackmailed, but because trump is a super corrupt dude who will do just about anything to sell luxury condos in russia.

Maybe Barr will redact a bunch of important stuff. I hope he does, it will be hilarious when the dacted report gets leaked to show what a bad faith job he did. Barr just doesn't strike me as a total moron so I doubt he will choose this course of action.
