The President’s son released emails where he was gleefully collaborating with an intermediary of the Russian government to obtain dirt on Hillary. That had zero impact on Trumps’s base and his enablers. I don’t think they are concerned about a biased report complied by angry, crooked Hillary supporters. The only things that are going to possibly make any meaningful difference at this point is a massive electoral victory or violence. Neither of these seem likely.

How could a Republican convince another Republican that the information which was withheld was necessarily done so for security/privacy/whatever reasons? Heavens it must be impossible!

And this unauthorized leak hardly seems like it would be far-fetched. And the threat of that leak provides Barr with a strong incentive to not be too liberal with the redactions. If he covers up something important and material with a redaction and then that section of the report is leaked in dacted form, it makes Trump and Barr look even worse than had it just been released in the first place.

The claim that Troll Trollson guy was making was that Trump's administration is the Vichy government of Putin. That is, that Trump is a literal puppet of the Russians, as the Vichy government was of the Nazis. Even if what you claim is true it does nothing to establish that Putin is somehow controlling Trump. Saying that Trump is a literal puppet of Putin is absolutely a wholly unsupported conspiracy theory.
