Just opening this thread and seeing those tweets triggers a physical response, I hate that ****er with the fire of a million suns.

I think staying away is going to be necessary for my sanity. I've cut down on the amount of MSNBC and CNN I watch already and that has really improved my anxiety to some extent.

2020 is make or break for this county, imo. I believe it all comes out to turnout and if the dems can field an energetic candidate that inspires hope and change we are still drawing live.

As things continue to disintegrate I can see a future where the only posts itt are the bot as posters get banned or move on. It’s an dystopian image, kind of creepy to imagine the bot posting tweets to an empty audience. Invokes the feeling of an abandoned carnival with trash blowing across the empty walkways and a robot clown barker still inviting people to step right up and see the freak show through a crackling speaker in it’s big red mouth.

President Donald Trump eased off his threat to shut down the U.S.-Mexico border, instead giving Mexico a “one-year warning” and threatening to first impose auto tariffs before closing the border.

“The only thing frankly better, but less drastic than closing the border, is to tariff the cars coming in,” he told reporters at the White House on Thursday. "We're going to give them a one-year warning and if the drugs don't stop or largely stop, we'll put tariffs on Mexico and products, in particular cars.”

Trump’s shift comes days after he said he would close the border as soon as this week if Mexican leaders were unable to stem the flow of migrants crossing into the U.S.
