I'm beginning to think this Trump guy is not all that bright.

Also that doesn't count people on islands who may be closer to American territory than any other good option for relocation.
What makes you so sure that it would be a bunch of South Americans looking for refuge in the US and Canada and not the other way around?

Also, you are aware I hope that it's not physically possible to migrate by land from South America to North America, right? Those 100 million would all have to travel by either sea or air.

It's as though he doesn't recognize that wind energy often operates in conjunction with other forms of renewable energy and also has battery backup.

People really are stupid.

And lol border closing

He can just close the border?

What do we need a wall for?

Also, if he has the power to just close the border why didn't he just do that day one instead of begging for $25 billion to build a wall?

People from Venezuela haven't been coming here generally. That tells you something about how hard the trip is.

I though he had gotten over this border closing sherade in december. I cross every ~2 weeks and a few months ago the border was swarming with border patrol: 8-12 officers per lane with rifles, drug sniffing dogs everywhere, new barbed wire had been put up, etc. lately it's been back to normal, just a couple officers patrolling between lanes, rarely see a drug dog, the barbed wire is still up but everything calmed down a lot it seemed. still takes over 2 hours to cross most of the time, but that's america for you

i hope this buffoon closes the border on a saturday night so all the LA college bros down here partying for spring break get stranded in mexico. would be pretty hilarious seeing Trump's reaction to finding out there are American's who cross from Mexico into the US.

btw, recycled joke but I found it funny: the only murderers and rapists mexico sends to the states are college bros coming back from spring break

He really could shoot someone in broad daylight and 30-40% of this country would be somewhere between okay with it and actively cheering.

Pruitt made broke staffers put his expenses on their personal credit cards and refused to reimburse them in addition to being the most shameless grifter of any Trump cabinet member and also actively seeking ways to legalize environmental destruction

McConnell, attempting to destroy irony forever, wants to change Senate rules to speed up Trump judicial appointees against Democratic "obstruction"

Quote:
Agitated by Democrats slowing down consideration of President Trump’s picks, Senate Republicans had drafted a rules change that would significantly cut the time allotted for floor debate on numerous non-Cabinet agency officials and dozens of district court judges who have stalled on Capitol Hill.

As it now stands, a nomination can be debated for a maximum of 30 hours on the Senate floor after senators invoke cloture — a vote that cuts off unlimited debate on a nomination. Under the change proposed by Republicans, those 30 hours would be slashed to two hours for all nominations except for Cabinet choices, nominees for the Supreme Court and appellate courts and some independent boards.

“This is a change the institution needs,” McConnell said Thursday. “This is a reform that every member should embrace: a functional process for building their administrations. Let’s give the American people a government they actually elected.”

McConnell railed against the Democrats, criticizing their “obstruction simply for the sake of obstruction.”

For nearly all of 2016, McConnell blocked the consideration of President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland, insisting the next president should fill the vacancy.
When someone tells you "Dems did it first":

Quote:
Five years ago under Obama, the Democratic-led Senate adopted these pending changes with overwhelming support, but only temporarily. Frustrated Senate Republicans want to adopt these changes permanently, but have encountered resistance from Democrats who want the new rules to go into effect in January 2021.

In an interview Thursday afternoon with The Washington Post, Schumer argued the current scenario was far different from 2013, when 78 senators voted for the rules to speed up consideration of Obama nominees.
Quote:
Though changing the Senate’s rules often need bipartisan support, Senate Republicans are planning to invoke the nuclear option to alter them unilaterally and have planned to do so since at least their January party retreat at Nationals Park.

Coming from a guy who is terrified of stairs. Or, wait, given the rule of Deplorable Projection, this must mean Trump’s fear of stairs is a con job of sorts. Perhaps he has a deal with Tyssen Krupp?
