I must admit I’m a bit floored how mueller ended. What does it even mean not indicted but not exonerated? I wasn’t expecting much, but this seems like total vindication for that orange nazi. I’m so confused.

Basically, Mueller was shirking responsibility by leaving it to the discretion of the AG to press forward with any obstruction charges.

Seriously, not indicting Trump Jr or Kushner seems ridiculous to me.

Basically the report didn’t draw any specific conclusions and instead outlined the evidence so the AG could make a decision. Don’t think anyone believed the AG was going to announce collusion or anything else, so it’s not a real surprise. I guess the report could have called for indictment or called for no indictment but instead just gathered evidence. We have no idea what specific conclusions the report actually presented though. For all we know it said, “So we feel very likely the President colluded with Russia.” But it didn’t specifically call for an indictment so that is what the AG reported in their summary.

Congressional democrats have to get the full report and all the evidence.

Edit: what we have been told so far is based on 100 percent the best case scenario for Trump supporters and republicans. They got the raw data and this was their best shot. That alone makes me question where it really leans given it is 100% republican propaganda spin at this point.

It means Mueller thinks Trump is shady as **** but he didn't find evidence to indict Agent Orange for collusion or treason or anything like that.

According to the AG who was appointed by Trump specifically to control this report.

HOW ARE JOURNALISTS NOT MENTIONING THIS FACT IN EVERY GOD DAMN ****ING HEADLINE.

I am so tilted

Because 1) clickbait 2)they're on his side 3) they don't care 4) writers usually don't write the headlines

Ever since Trump was nominated, left-wing media outlets have seen an enormous surge in ratings. So long as he's in office, those high ratings will continue.

No doubt in my mind that they want Trump to stay in office. That's why they're misinforming us and going easy on Trump. It's why they're ignoring Bernie Sanders when talking about future Democratic candidates.

Too many people made the mistake of assuming russia had stuff on trump when Trump was perfectly willing to join them on his own accord.

Trump Jr. wasn't even interviewed, was he? Not sure how that could be justified.

Based on what I read Barr can ignore that subpoena which would then go the the Supreme Court. Good luck with that. Leaks are also unlikely as only Mueller and Barr have the full report. Parts might come out if some of the people that worked on those want to risk jail for releasing what they know. Odds are this gets buried for 50 years.

regardless of whether you believe it outright, you have to admit that the media is extremely incentivized to support another trump presidency.

No.
It could mean Mueller didn't consider it his job to prosecute the targets of the investigation.

We don't know exactly what Russia has on Trump besides: loans, tower construction, and willingness to receive dirt on HClinton.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m feeling so hopeless.

This country is full of delightful, fantastic people. Incredibly smart, hard-working, generous, kind people. They deserve so much better.

Everything we all learned in school is bull****. There is absolutely no penalty for lying and cheating and stealing. “Go vote then” is a wholly unsatisfactory piece of advice. The bad guys cheat at that too, and get away with it. We’re taught the Supreme Court, that institution that gave us “separate but equal,” will stop the worst of it. Good luck with that. We’re told “nobody is above the law.” How that working out?

Where are incentives? The guys in charge have every incentive to amp up the lying, cheating and stealing - it’s how they ensure there will never be accountability. This **** isn’t going to stop, guys.

What exactly am I supposed to do? I’ll gladly take to the streets, but none of you will
Be there with me. My vote is meaningless. Meanwhile those kids will still be in cages, people will die because they can’t pay for insulin, tens of thousands will die from guns every single year, endless imperia war will forever pad the bank accounts of evil people and end the lives of innocent people. And absolutely nothing will happen to the people responsible for all of it.

The good news is nothing matters and then we die

The bad guys won and we can’t stop them.

So why even worry about it.

It's a tricky one for sure but think on this. You're mad about it all. That's an improvement over 90+% of human existence when it was taken for granted that the rich and powerful were just better people ordained by god to rule over you. Lots of people still believe that (or don't think about it and believe it by default) but the pure absurdity of the idea of a meritocracy with donald trump at the head of it may just be enough to break the spell. Maybe not, humans seem to gravitate towards authority but your sick feeling is probably our best chance.

I'm just going to watch some sports, do my work, play some video games, cook dinner, and make sure my kids do well in school and grow up to be decent people. Maybe they can fix things while I sit in my rocking chair, immersing myself in OASIS.

The trick is to keep breathing.
