The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: Harm to Ongoing Matter The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: Harm to Ongoing Matter

How about an electoral system where minorities' votes count for more than white people because we wouldn't want our politicians to only focus on the white majority.

beyond the big state vs small state crap, it is super obvious to anyone with a brain that winner takes all in the electoral college makes zero sense.

EC was probably to appease the southern states. (WHEN WILL YOU EVER LEARN FFS) It almost got eliminated in nixon's time but strom thurmand blocked it in the senate.

Trump has a point that he'd campaign differently EC vs pop vote.

EC doesn't make zero sense if you wanna argue it makes no sense for Wyoming/etc to have more senators than house reps that's true and probably the main flaw in the system. Pop vote only for pres also gives more incentive for R's to prevent or harass minorities from voting. Not saying that's a negative, just saying that as a warning.

Trump campaigned in Minnesota a couple days before the election because a Somali muslim community bothered the whites there

Interesting... do you think that was part of the original thought process?

I.e. elections "were" hard to run fairly. EC stops it being about how many votes you can manufacture/suppress in your heartlands...

Obviously every other developed country on earth manages fair elections, so this is a solvable problem

What pisses me off is all of the West Wing Dems and the "liberal" media establishment falling over themselves to stan for McCain's honor. **** off with that ****, let the #NeverTrump Republicans do that.

Can you ****ing imagine the 24/7 365 day Fox News coverage if it was like Biden or some other dude said that **** about Mr Maverick?

Sure, agreed. I just find it remarkable that Trump can't help but attack a dead guy over and over again because of the thumbs down thing and him turning over the dossier to the FBI.

Well, that and the fact that Republicanism has become such an authoritarian cult that basically nobody is even bothering to defend McCain anymore (other than the groups you mentioned).

So uh how does Laura Loomer look like a different botched version of MJ in every single appearance.

16th anniversary of the Iraq War and Resistance Twitter spent the whole day stanning for John McCain. This **** is political malpractice. Easiest thing for the media to do white safaris and interview wounded veterans and **** but instead the lead story is going to be Trump insulting McCain again (how is that even news?).

oh good calling a former FBI head a dirty cop and it won't bat an eye in the media

Trump is losing so much in court that allies are getting tired of it

Quote:
The Washington Post’s Fred Barbash and Deanna Paul are out with a must-read analysis of the Trump administration’s losses in federal courts, which now number 63 in about two years — a number that notably includes multiple losses on some individual actions. One former longtime aide in the Justice Department’s civil division said that in his 30 years of service, it was an unprecedented amount of losing. And even advocates of the kind of regulatory reform Trump has undertaken are dumbfounded by how the administration could lose so much, and actually deserve to.
Quote:
Perhaps more tellingly, a lot of the losses seem to result from a simple lack of due diligence. About two-thirds of them involve the Administrative Procedure Act. The APA requires the government to defend policy changes using facts and evidence, and sometimes requires allowing the public to express its views via a comment period. Here’s the most eye-popping paragraph:
The normal “win rate” for the government in such cases is about 70 percent, according to analysts and studies. But as of mid-January, a database maintained by the Institute for Policy Integrity at the New York University School of Law shows Trump’s win rate at about 6 percent.
One expert on administrative law, William W. Buzbee, said people in the administration “don’t even come close” to explaining their actions, “making it very easy for the courts to reject them because they’re not doing their homework.”
So much losing your head will spin

Nearly 11 hours since his last tweet. Nearly 10 since the last post ITT. Both feel like records.

Is it over?

I mean Comey is basically the reason Trump actually won so why should anyone come to his defense? So weird 2p2 libs come to Comey's defense all the time yet think Greenwald tweeting doubts of Russiagate is pure sin.
03-21-2019 , 09:43 AM
Um, nobody defended Comey. The post you quoted was criticizing the president for calling a former FBI head a dirty cop.

Wtf?

Please heart attack

That's too good for him. I want him to lose the 2020 election by a landslide, then get indicted and go to prison along with his crooked family, have all his property seized by RICO violations and have his wife leave him for a young stud.

Then, on the day he gets out of prison, heart attack.

Former Brazilian President Michel Temer has been arrested as part of a wide-ranging corruption investigation, local media say.

Trump's probably going around trying to figure out how to do this to Obama and Hillary, no time to tweet.
