I've come to believe that some of these white supremacist nuts think they can reverse the demographic tide by compelling white women to have more babies.

In the event Roe were ever overturned I doubt that the Republicans would ever push for a nationwide ban. They don't want people in CA and NY having a bunch of kids; one of the benefits of curtailing immigration will be suppressing those state's populations going forward.
