I at least respect the fact that he doesn’t even pretend to be interested in anyone other than Republicans

Though if you are like me and think we are at a very critical time environmentally and he might be pushing us off a cliff...he is not great. It will take time to judge that damage.
We also have yet to see how much he tests the peaceful transfer of power.

I agree with the poster pointing out the futility in spending a lot of time ranking the relative horribleness of supervillains. Almost as much of a waste as reminding us that the POTUS might be average among groups that are terrible at world geography.

I kind of get the sense that Trump will be exhausted and disgusted enough by 2020 that he won't go nuts trying to de-legitimize the election results or anything, beyond a couple of passive-aggressive tweets suggesting it was a fix from the beginning and he saw it coming.

I do see him ****ting all over the actual transfer of power in whatever way he can but in childish ways. Refusing to speak to the incoming POTUS to pass along any info, destroying any piece of paperwork he legally can (and then some), firing everyone he can at all levels like two days before inauguration, etc. Probably steal a painting or two from the WH on his way out too.

I see we're having extended "executive time" today.

LOL @ including „to him“ in that denial.
„Hey, I said „this guy‘s wife is a loser“ to lying James Comey, who was standing next to him. What McCabe said was total fakenews!“

**** I wish this was the Truman show and he just believed he was president. Can you imagine how much fun this would be to watch if, like, we were not doomed?

Trump violating federal law by giving nuclear tech to the Saudis, according to whistleblowers. I am sure this will not be a big deal by, oh say, Thursday afternoon.

Compromise of 1877 tho (I guess if you take the word "bureaucrats" out)

Trump could openly give nukes to North Korea and they couldn’t get enough republicans to condemn it for a veto proof vote.

There is nothing he can do that will phase republicans. Nothing.

Ex-Sessions spokeswoman to join CNN as political editor

Quote:
Sarah Isgur, who served as the Justice Department’s leading spokeswoman under Attorney General Jeff Sessions, is joining the network as a political editor next month, where she will coordinate political coverage for the 2020 campaign.
Quote:
While it is common for departing administration officials to join cable news networks as analysts or contributors, it is less common for them to oversee news coverage. Isgur has no experience in news but a long history as a political operative, most recently with the Trump administration and the Fiorina campaign. Before that, she worked for the Republican National Committee and on Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Top Trump appointees promoted selling nuclear power plants to Saudi Arabia over objections from national security officials, House Democratic report says
The officials who objected included White House lawyers and H.R. McMaster, then the chief of the National Security Council. They called for a halt in the nuclear sales discussions in 2017, citing potential conflicts of interest, national security risks and legal hurdles.

Yet the effort to promote nuclear sales persisted, led by retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who served briefly as President Trump’s national security adviser, and more recently by Energy Secretary Rick Perry. The possible nuclear power sale was discussed in the Oval Office as recently as last week.

...

The Cummings report notes that one of the power plant manufacturers that could benefit from a nuclear deal, Westinghouse Electric, is a subsidiary of Brookfield Asset Management, the company that provided financial relief to the family of Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and adviser. Brookfield Asset Management took a 99-year lease on the family’s deeply indebted New York City property at 666 Fifth Avenue.

I despise Trump with the fire of 1000 suns, but he's absolutely right about one thing: CNN is ****ing garbage.

I don't know if that's exactly what he's doing, but yes that's what he's doing. He didn't exactly "call her a loser," but yeah, he did.

Quote:
Andrew McCabe (quoting Trump): "What was it like when your wife lost her race for state Senate? It must have been really tough to lose." And I said, "Well, it's tough to lose anything. But my wife has refocused her efforts on her career." And he then said, "Ask her what it was like to lose. It must be tough to be a loser."
