Of course it's possible, but I think Trump has a ****ty relationship with Moon Jae-in and Abe has been trying his best with Trump from day one and was the first world leader to meet with him.

I tend to substitute "obfuscates" for "transcends" as it conveys a more accurate picture. "Transcends" sounds too noble and righteous for the situation at hand.
