Wasn't sure where to look to see if I'd Dominic'd it and then saw the other thread bumped and I ninja deleted as you were making your post

Hmmm maybe this will get really interesting.

Knowing the writers at this point, I'm sure this will engulf every character in the most unbelievable and stupidest way possible.

If it turns out government agencies were misused for this purpose, I can't wait for the Glenn Greenwald column about how doing that is longstanding US policy (with some barely-relevant incident from the Carter administration as proof) and Democrats are hypocrites if they complain about Trump doing it.

A Saudi government agency perhaps?

Weaponizing the intelligence agencies against political enemies is pretty much gg democracy.

The full body swing he does when he switches from the right teleprompter to the left teleprompter is hilarious.

As part of a plea deal with Mueller, former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen acknowledged that the pursuit of the project continued well into 2016, longer than he had previously acknowledged, raising questions about whether Moscow had leverage over Trump. Cohen also said that he had kept the president and his children apprised of progress on the deal, which never materialized.

Ivanka Trump, who worked for the Trump Organization, told ABC that she “barely” knew about the prospective deal. “Literally almost nothing,” she said.

“There was never a binding contract,” Ivanka Trump said. “I never talked to the — with a third party outside of the organization about it. It was one of — I mean we could have had 40 or 50 deals like that, that were floating around, that somebody was looking at. Nobody visited it to see if it was worth our time. So this was not exactly like an advanced project.”

Ivanka Trump also noted that several major hotel chains have properties in Russia.

“It’s not like it’s a strange thing, as a hospitality company or a development company, to have a hotel or a property in Russia,” she said. “We’re not talking about Iran. It was Russia. And we weren’t even advanced enough that anyone had even visited the prospective project site. So it really was just a non-factor in our minds. I’m not sure that anyone would have thought of it.”
these people are so ****ing stupid--see bolded

I'm still blown away about the fact there is chance goverment agencies provided sensitive personal material involving Bezos to Pecker and the National Inquirer to provide leverage to kill stories in the Washington Post that would be damaging to this circus of an administration.

I mean, nothing should surprise me at this point after everything we've witnessed, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. This is leaving me more frightened than at any other point in this presidency.

You guys need to read up on the shenannigans the FBI was pulling on political activists in the 60s.

Yeah I think in all the russia gate business we've somehow forgotten that the intelligence agencies are the enemy. If the FBI, CIA, ATF, and ICE all shut down tomorrow the world would be a far far better place.

It's not just happening in the US, it's a cancer that's metasticizing globally. Guess who is leading the vanguard?
