Allegedly they are on the side of labor (lol, but that's what they say). The obvious, immediate, and proper strategy should be encouraging the workers working without pay to quit doing that shiz. Shut it Down !!!1! That would solve this problem easily within a week.

This is a really good point. What are they going to do? Fire everyone who doesnt show up to work without pay, and then somehow replace them when the shutdown is over? Great recruitment video they will have then.

"Come work for the government, knowing at any moment a confrontational man-child can prevent you from getting paid for no reason at all, and then we will force you to work without pay or be fired."

Im sure people will be lining up around the block to get in on that action.

I think this is why it's good to have both skilled legislators/tactitians like Pelosi and skilled messengers/public faces like AOC. No need to search for some Voltron that serves both roles.

Of course, having someone like Schumer, who seems to be neither, is bad.
