The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: Harm to Ongoing Matter The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: Harm to Ongoing Matter

This seems to be Rudy speaking for Rudy. If he doesn’t say he’s speaking for Trump, or saying something along the lines of “we categorically deny the allegations” then the only repercussion is that Rudy lied later.

Nastya Rybka (real name Anastasia Vashukevich) was detained at Moscow's main airport after being deported from Thailand for soliciting.

Her lawyer posted a video on Instagram which, he says, shows her arrest.

A woman resembling her and looking sedated struggles as four men push her into a wheelchair, then carry her.

The video clip posted by lawyer Dmitry Zatsarinsky has now been tweeted by Russian broadcasters and anti-corruption blogger Alexei Navalny.

"I never said that the President didn't counsel Michael Cohen, I said I said that the President didn't counsel Michal Cohen."

Fox grilling the Deputy Press Secretary over the Buzzfeed story and getting no denial.

Hey what if we didn't post inline NSFW stuff in this thread?

Anyway: Watch out everyone, Mike Pence is "deeply offended" by his wife getting criticism for being a homophobic bigot

Quote:
“My wife and I have been in the public eye for quite a while. We’re used to the criticism,” Pence said in an interview with Eternal Word Television Network. “But I have to tell you, to see major news organizations attacking Christian education, is deeply offensive to us.

"We have a rich tradition in America of Christian education and, frankly, religious education broadly defined. We celebrate it. The freedom of religion is enshrined in the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution prohibits a religious test for holding a public office and so we’ll let the other critics roll off our back, but this criticism of Christian education in America should stop.”
Nice, I like the part where in order to avoid addressing the LGBT part he inadvertently suggests that all "Christian education" is rampantly homophobic! I thought the school was, like, "no gay kids" but it goes beyond that into demanding your political beliefs as well:

Quote:
In an employment application, Immanuel Christian School’s requires applicants to agree that marriage can be only between a man and a woman.
...
Furthermore, a parent agreement requires guardians to acknowledge that the school may deny admission or kick out a student who engages in activities that conflict with a “biblical lifestyle,” such as “condoning sexual immorality, homosexual activity or bi-sexual activity.”

I guess, but he would be a generic neocon with more emphasis on abortion. Obviously that implies some pretty terrible stuff, but I don't think it's scary in the way a Tucker Carlson style populist would be.

Significant numbers of TSA agents have not been coming to work, either because of financial hardship or to underscore their opposition to being forced to work without pay.

And the agency said the call-outs are rising.

May she rest in peace. I hate to be this morbid, but there's like a 95% chance they kill her.

I think it's a pretty big mistake that no western country gave her asylum or worked something out with Thailand, given the stakes. Obviously Trump's administration wouldn't do it, and the UK is a mess right now, but Germany or France really could have stepped up.

It's actually hilarious how often he just tweets this in all caps, I could go on and on and on

(I don't mean this to discredit what you're saying DGBG, just something funny that occurred to me)

Sure, but impeaching (and presumably convicting) Trump is all some people seem capable of seeing. The fact that it's not just "We got him" and no downside at all should be clear to people. Can't lose focus on the fact that Trump is a symptom, not the disease itself.
01-18-2019 , 03:37 PM
I’m not attacking Christian education, Mike. I’m attacking you.

****ing scumbag piece of **** sellout douchebag.

With a name like eternal word television you can guarantee not single intelligent sentence has ever been uttered on it.

Obviously R voters won't give a flying **** about whatever Trump did so impeachment is simply about how much **** there is, if you're gonna do it and the media attention is on say stormy daniels again or OMG HE LIED dems won't win, Trump's main appeal with people is because he pisses you off.

So there has to be a decent list, but short enough people can follow but bad enough that independents might actually care.

That and a really awkward time for 3 or 4 R senators up for re-election in states they aren't locks to win. Also spending a few weeks wasting Mitch's judges speedrun attempts.

Problem is when this impeachment happens and lol nothing matters, then what, I don't know we're in uncharted territory.

In uh, interesting timing, Cohen had his arm in a sling, and possibly a black eye. From prescheduled shoulder surgery.

Not sure how a possible black eye comes from that explanation but hey.

That’s a black eye? Just looks like he needs more sleep.

Trump, Kim Jong-un to Hold Second Meeting Next Month
The announcement came after Mr. Trump met for 90 minutes in the Oval Office with Kim Yong-chol, the former North Korean intelligence chief who has acted as the chief nuclear negotiator for Mr. Kim.

The White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, said the date and location of the meeting would be announced later, suggesting that the two sides were still haggling over the site or other logistical details. Vietnam, Thailand, and Hawaii have all been mentioned as potential sites.
01-18-2019 , 04:07 PM
Another meeting to give Kim more concessions and more time to build his arsenal while getting nothing in return. Brilliant!

That model isn't even Russian; she's from Belarus. Small difference at this point I guess.
