Hmmm, that probably doesn't narrow the field enough as Chez never met a racist he didn't love. I'm talking about the guy from St Louis that had a little bit of the rapey when he drank too much. Always cried about getting SHOUTED DOWN when everybody dunked on his constant stream of idiocy.

Yes, our government is broken

Trump fired Sessions for the sole reason that he refused himself on the Mueller investigation and is now allowed to put in Barr, who wrote to trump’s legal team about Mueller going too far, and will be allowed to take over instead of congress simply passing a law that Rosenstein has to stay in charge of the investigation.

When the president is allowed to choose who oversees the investigation into him, the system is B.R.O.K.E.N.

oh rosenstein is gone this month or next month for sure

Having one guy who has executive authority and is really hard to get rid of is a poorly constructed system in the first place.

They finally figured out that a slow motion Saturday night massacre would be allowed...it just has to be slightly veiled and not rushed or spoken out loud and he absolutely can get away with it

The founders actually did consider something like this but there's no good setup for when every branch either dgaf or wants it. Someone just shot them back in that era. A lot more difficult now also you're gonna die.

Well also the pres could just tell SCOTUS to shove it but with this one doesn't have to.

It's also clear that in Trump's mind, these are young brute rednecks and blacks who run around and crash into each other so fast food is obviously fitting for them.
If this was old rich people he was hosting he would want to try to impress with caviar and gold leaf (fake) well done steaks.

He has the most black and white 8 year old's view of the world possible.

This is a pretty awkward spot in the shutdown part because
Either A) wall B) gov't shutdown C) trump makes a deal he'll reneg on later anyway.

Overall for the country C is the best option, just give him 2.5. With their grift that's like only a foot of a wall anyway.

This forum would riot though. Politically the base wants no compromise with Trump so they'll get B. Which is what the $ R's want the most out of the three. (obv the base R's want the wall the most out of the three) C is the one that everyone but Trump wants the least and some flipping how it's the best solution for the country as it's the least damage overall out of the three, but I realize that presumes you can still get enough votes in the specific areas of the country to get him out later.

My point on the shutdown being the worst is last thing this nation needs is whoever's left that's competent leaving and the longer this shutdown lasts, the more of them will go and not come back. If there's nothing there in 2020 R's will have a layup in at least their favorite game--blaming someone else.

Burger King trolling is lame, better to have just created a Hamberder with really small meat inside.

That's just a right-wing talking point and astoundingly hypocritical. Politically the base doesn't want to build a monument to bigotry.

Don't think the republican donors want this shutdown for much longer as it will tank the economy. Democrats just need to hold out and don't mess up their messaging. Of course that last bit is where they tend to fail but Trump is making it easy for them.

Just read the last two days of this tread, which wasn't very illuminating. There's a ton going on now, with the NATO stuff the most shocking, but also Manafort filing, idiotic shutdown manuvers by Mayor McCheese, sliding approval because of delusional understanding of midterms and general political dynamics, Barr, investigation of FBI general counsel, sanctions vote in Senate. I think Trump has definitely lost the plot and button mashing isn't working. Gonna be a fun month. Looking forward to State of Union and Cohen testimony. Ferling Nixonesqe, but Donnie and his anti-american supporters will keep pressing. GOP has to be 100% spooked.

Almost everyone competent has fled, now Trump's mainly surrounded by sychophantic PR hacks.

I think all of you are putting way too much thought into this. Trump paid for it, he’s cheap and classless. Therefore, McDonalds.
