Are you guys really that oblivious to how ridiculous you appear to normal people?

The Tigers last visited in June 2017 after their championship run the previous season. That day, the White House served a barbecue lunch that star wide receiver Hunter Renfrow called at the time "the best meal I've had in a year."

Yes, I’m sure McDonalds was much better. Lol at all the real elitists in here thinking that poor people celebrate big occasions by going to freaking McDonalds. Finding a good BBQ joint that is a few bucks more is a only for the elite like Inso over here.

I particularly enjoyed the posts about how the individual cups of french fries had the presidential seal on it as if that was somehow remarkable and not simply some dude grabbing a few sleeves of disposable cups out of the supply closet.

Pwn_Master, that's why I said "normally don't include" and not "never include" in that post. Doesn't make it any less true.

No one would have shat upon the President for having a catered meal at the WH with a sports team because of the food.

The only people who care about what he served are the late show hosts who get to mock him for it and people who already aren't going to vote for him. What this does do hopefully is move more people who couldn't be arsed to vote at all to be more likely to go to the polls and get rid of this stupid mother****er in 2020.

The guy MADE the bad situation himself...and the employees and contractors not getting paid is the real bad situation

However it’s hilarious that he went as cheap as possible when he had to pay and then he’s tweeted like 15 times about this (including mentioning he paid multiple times) bc he’s so proud of it

At the end of the day, none of this matters...what matters is he’s shut down our government over a non-solution to a mostly-handled issue

And, you know, that he’s in russia’s pocket, which no longer matters to the GOP because “go team rah rah”

Serving McDonald’s at a WH dinner is indefensible.....but not in the same universe of indefensible as both sidesing a literal Nazi murder... the people like Inso who stuck with Trump through the later are obviously not going to abandon him over the former..../end discussion

As usual Inso and keeed are the ones out of touch here. Many folks in middle America are still angry at McDonalds for eliminating Officer Big Mac during the character streamlining during the economic downturn. Despite statistics to the contrary, my Trumpkin relatives maintain that burger theft is spiraling out of control.

My post in the NVG thread questioning Mason about this got deleted of course.

Republicans keep screwing us on online poker again and again, yet the owner of this site continues to support and shill for them.

Such a slap in the face.

Or, because if he had written that check with government funds, that would've been the daily WOAT scandal to talk about.

"PRESIDENT SPENDS THOUSANDS OF TAX DOLLARS ON FAST FOOD WHILE UNPAID TSA EMPLOYEES SUBSIST ON CONFISCATED LIQUIDS."
01-15-2019 , 01:29 PM
Again, nope, no one has complained about the WH hosting visitors on the government dime before, no one complained about the money when half or less of previous championship teams showed up for a visit. Why are you wrong so much?
01-15-2019 , 01:31 PM
I mean, yeah people complained about the money spent on his protection detail because he was keeping two residences instead of just moving into the WH. People complain about his excessive golf vacations because he complained about Obama's vacations. You really are bad at this.

Agree this is a silly topic, Inso, let’s hear your criticisms of Trump on all of the legitimately horrendous stuff he has done.... I’ll hang up and listen.

Even if true, he doesn’t have to brag about buying off the value menu over and over again

Also, spoiler: he won’t actually be paying for it

Are the two mutually exclusive though?

Does physically typing this out help with the self-delusion?

Ofc he can't /won't pay for it, his foundation is dissolving.

I think even broke billionaires can find a few thousand dollars cash in the couch cushions.

Well, yeah, Trump is incredibly bad at his job, so somehow, despite having the resources of a purported billioniare and the federal government at his disposal, he has managed to maneuver himself into a situation where he looks bad no matter what he does. But, again, THE GOVERNEMNT DOESNT HAVE TO BE SHUT DOWN, ITS A SITUATION COMPLETELY OF HIS OWN MAKING. He could end it by just agreeing to pass a clean CR bill. But no, here we are because the President adheres to a 10-year-old’s conception of literally everything, including strength and weakness, (except race, 10 year olds aren’t racist like him) and won’t back down from the stupid position he has put himself. But here you are acting like the media will attack him regardless of what he does, despite the fact that the media constantly treats his childish, stupid behavior with a wholly underserved air of respect. God damn it, get some ****ing therapy, you have a damaged brain.

Yer joking right? Because you know that's the 1st thing he does when everyone leaves the room.. That's why he does not drink.
01-15-2019 , 01:51 PM
i regret my part in the mcdonald's discourse, because i don't care.

but... i just don't think this is a big L for Trump, because him being a giant manchild who loves big macs, chocolate cake and well done steak with ketchup is the most normal, human thing about him. no, it isn't 'presidential', but that's not actually a thing that matters whatsoever.

Sure but all of these 'wins' and 'losses' are irrelevant. ACA repeal was a major loss, and his approval dipped to like 36%...and when that moment was over it came right back. The same exact thing will happen with the shutdown - his approval will tank to the high-mid 30s and then come back once he reopens the government. There won't be any consequences.

He's locked into ~40% approval unless the economy tanks

Of course they aren't mutually exclusive. But what's more effective in attacking Trump: Trump is keeping the government closed for an incredibly dumb reason or Trump buys some food for some football guys/misspells a word. Probably the one that isn't saying something that could be reasonably interpreted as a story favorable to Trump?
01-15-2019 , 01:54 PM
It's just projection by Inso. His team was legit (faux) pissed about Obama choosing to eat Dijon mustard on his burger. He thinks that people ITT are pretending to be pissed over this, but nobody is pissed, people think it is ****ing stupid, and they are not pretending.

This never giving Trump a chance **** is laughable. If he punched Steven Miller right in the ****ing lips in the middle of a meeting and liberals were horrified by the president of the US, who has the wheel of our entire country and the nuke codes acting that way, Inso and Keed would say "I thought you libs hate Miller. You can never give him credit for anything."
01-15-2019 , 01:57 PM
Um, why do people think we need to be disabused of the notion that this is a L for Trump? He got elected by mocking war heros for getting captured and women for having periods, we are well aware that the McDonald’s is not going to be his silver bullet for the morons that support him....

He used his foundation to pay the $7 Boy Scout fee for Eric Trump

He doesn’t pay for anything

He’ll expense it once the government is reopened or he will have a donor or pac or campaign account pay for it

Relative to the sort of respect you would treat him with, I have no doubt you believe this to be true.

Good call on the therapy. I'll look into it.
