Would be cool for next Dem nominee/President to push for online poker legalization. It’s lovely to know all the arguments opposed to it are utter bull**** and are the result of lobbying by one fat melted face ****heel in Nevada.

We should have our priorities in order. I love online poker but we need to bring back Quaaludes first. It's like we are in the dark ages.

It’s a lock that Trump didn’t actually pay for it right? It will his campaign or something in the end.

According to CNN he cashed in a bunch of those Monopoly pieces.

This is what I was saying, exactly.

Yup. Anyone who doesn't realize this is a clear messaging win for Trump is delusional. And the more folks dwell on it the more clear of a win it is for Trump.

Is "hamberders" a messaging win?

i mean, yeah...this is my point???
The point is not that people are too good for fast food, it is that the situation is too good for fast food. If you are the championship team, being invited to the Whitehouse to eat with the president is a very rare honor.

I'd like to invoke the context of corporate appreciation once again. The top salespeople at a single furniture store are taken to steakhouses. If they were given Wendy's they would feel rightly insulted. That this is a clear stunt by a narcissist meant to make the news is even ****ing worse. It is yet another time he doesn't appreciate anyone other than how he can use them to reflect on himself.

If you won an online poker tourney and part of the prize was being taken out to dinner by Huck Seed and he took you to McDonald's, what would be your response? I'm not too good for McDonald's?

It's not a loss among anyone who didn't already despise him.

Yeah he's either trolling to get a reaction that people like folks ITT reliably provide or it's a typo. Either way, no sensible person gives a ****.

Ya man no one should sensibly care about our president behaving like a 8 year old. Who gives a ****!

As we saw in the midterms, he’s stepping all over himself with the messaging. He should be hammering away at the Dems on funding the government, but instead we get this hamberder clownshow mixed in with tweets about Caravan II, lyin James Comey, veteran unemployment... it’s a hot mess in terms of clear messaging.

ITT: People who also would've **** on the President for having a traditional "high end" catered meal while furloughed feds are pawning their grandmother's wedding ring to afford Ramen during the shutdown.

Meanwhile, 18-21yo college athletes who probably aren't allowed to eat fast food during the season are excited to see something they know they'll like, rather than having to pretend to enjoy beef pâté and caviar.

Are you guys really that oblivious to how ridiculous you appear to normal people?

Edit: President Obama and cheeseburgers: A love story -- Look how cool and just like us he is, guys!

**** off. literally no one ITT has ever complained about the food the White House serves at these functions during either the Bush or Obama years.

Probably not, but that just makes the concept of messaging "wins" and "losses" inapplicable here. I agree it's funny and all that, but it's another nothingburger, so to speak. It's covfefe or any one of a hundred other things we don't even remember but were hilarious at the time.
01-15-2019 , 01:05 PM
Yes, independents who were unhappy with Trump over the shutdown are swinging back to Trump with the fast food gambit and spelling errors.....
01-15-2019 , 01:05 PM
Once again, Inso makes up a ridiculously dumb premise out of whole cloth and proceeds from there.

That's because these athlete visits normally don't include food. It's a photo op and a tour, but the shutdown means that none of that staff was available.

Guy made the best of a bad situation and you're frothing about it just because of who he is.
