What this place needs is less transparency

I just don't trust the FBI

I like this Chris Murphy fellow

I hope this gives him a scare even though the drop in his 538 average is only 1.5% since shutdown started.

Rasmussen found 43% approval, if you don't want to click. And

Another 32 percent strongly approve the job Trump is doing.

If I'm not mistaken, Rasmussen is routinely skewed four or five points in his favor vis-a-vis the other polls, so it's worse that it appears. That's nice.

That statement is way too coherent to not be prepared in advance.

I've never seen these FOXNews interviews but there's no doubt that he is given the questions in advance and is able to form answers well before the interview so he can be in the best light possible, right?

That answer doesn't make him look good.

Wow, CNN has Trump at 45% approval and 47% disapproval... with white non-college educated voters. That's down from 54% approve/39% disapprove in December.

sadly those last for like 1 week and go back like an abused wife to her husband

sharpest average turn though who knows.

The second he gets like $10m for a study to see if the wall will work and the government is reopened he is going to spike the football super hard and act like the dems totally caved art of the deal style and then his approval is gonna jump 15%.

I'll give Ted Cruz this: he looks a lot better with facial hair. Hides his weak face.

Trump just tried to go freestyle on God Bless the USA in New Orleans, or something:

Quote:
"from the fields of Pennsylvania to the hills of Tennessee from the plains of Missouri to the big sky of Montana and from the marshes of Florida to the fertile valley of California"

His all time low from Rasmussen is 38% that happened around the time WaPo said he had a terrible month so dropping to 43% is good news indeed.

It's basically just him recapping his tweets.

So, I'm seeing that God Bless the USA or Proud to be an American or whatever they want to call it was an intro song in New Orleans so this is definitely the case. God damn genius.

I find the idea that the FBI would open such an investigation into Trump without the approval, or at least notifying, Congress or some Congressional committee quite troubling. Clearly, an investigation may be in order but the lack of reporting it and now leaking it just seems to show the FBI is runnng amok and is politicized.

Yeah i mean it was over the phone and announced several hours ahead of time, but that’s by the far the easiest softball question ever thrown at any president in american history

Meadow Soprano : Are you in the Mafia?
Tony Soprano : Am I in the what?
Meadow Soprano : Whatever you want to call it. Organized crime.
Tony Soprano : That's total crap, who told you that?
Meadow Soprano : Dad, I've lived in the house all my life. I've seen the police come with warrants. I've seen you going out at three in the morning.
Tony Soprano : So you never seen Doc Cusamano going out at three in the morning on a call?
Meadow Soprano : Did the Cusamano kids ever find $50,000 in krugerrandts and a .45 automatic while they were hunting for Easter eggs?
Tony Soprano : I'm in the waste management business. Everybody immediately assumes you're mobbed up. It's a stereotype. And it's offensive. And you're the last person I would want to perpetuate it... There is no Mafia.

I don't think it's SOP for the FBI to report ongoing investigations, unless the target is their political opponent Hillary Clinton.

But you're right that the fact that this got leaked now... two months after an election and 22 months before the next election... suggests a political hatchet job.
