I genuinely thought they might stage some type of security threat during the trip. Instead is was just Donald chatting with Hannity for a bit followed by tweets about what a huge CRISIS we have.

This is false.

Republicans don’t want to lose filibuster for a wall big business doesn’t want.

Holy **** that Steven king quote in the times! Google it.

Funny that war mongers like LG can’t figure out that the best way to counter China is a more united and wealthier Americas

Of course trump actually wants the wall. Why wouldn’t he?

Yeah having watched this video it would surprise me if drugs aren't 100% brought in by drones within about two years. And not long after that they'll be able to pick up people and bring them in the same way.

Trump: I need to shut down the government unless you let me build new wall.

Also Trump: We just built some new wall.

China is going to pass us in GDP and hopefully India as well some day. People will poop their pants because Chinese per capita GDP reached 1/4th of ours.

Because their entire purpose it to oppose trump

$5b for increasing the supreme court to 20 members and letting AOC choose all the judges. And DC and PR become states.
01-11-2019 , 02:13 PM
Nothing makes that seem fake more than the date showing.

The Wall is the manifestation of identity politics for the vast vast majority of people like Trump and his supporters. So there is no "compromise" or "negotiations" that make sense.

If you give them money for the Wall, they will demand more money for the Wall and then more money for the Wall, ad finitum.

And once (funding for) the Wall is "in place", they will demand other things on the deplorable wish list such as drastic reduction in legal immigration, removing rights of immigrants, restricting rights of minorities, and other things too reprehensible to even consider.

If people question whether you should ever negotiate with a terrorist, how about a rule that you never negotiate with a deplorable terrorist?
01-11-2019 , 02:19 PM
It was really thoughtful of them to install a warning track with the wall.
01-11-2019 , 02:20 PM
all I can think of is George Bluth's driving around a fake US/Mex wall in Arrested Development season 4
01-11-2019 , 02:23 PM
You'll all be surprised that i think declaring a national emergency for the wall

It would set a horrible precedent

Not just that, he was also shown tunnels under existing sections of wall by CBP.

NYT has a good article about how much of the border already has fencing/walls with a graphic explaining the different sections and such:

Everything east of El Paso is privately owned land, and also conveniently has a natural barrier in place. Does that mean it's going to cost $5.7 billion to patch in those small gaps in the wall in CA, AZ, and NM?
01-11-2019 , 02:28 PM
25 billion wall for Merrick garland is actually an awesome idea
01-11-2019 , 02:28 PM
er....this is a coincidence:

Interesting collection of words you have there.

Out of curiosity - do you have any examples of non-awesome ideas?

We could also quote where I pointed out pretty conclusively that rep likes to twist the argument as necessary in order to best convince people he's winning. It's all he cares about.
