Thanks... I'd only even consider sending it to a few candidates, but I can't imagine some random unsolicited e-mail actually making its way to anyone important enough to get it into a candidates' speech. Perhaps I underestimate the ability of information to flow into a campaign, but I just don't see it...

I'm more than happy with second... I almost prefer it to first! Especially as a proud Greenland truther.

Honestly, I've thought about it. I don't think it's a realistic possibility for the time being and I do love what I do. It's one of the few things I'd transition to from this, and still love, but I also have moved around a ton over the last few years and would be a carpet bagger almost anywhere I ran. I also think it might be tough to go from poker pro to running for office.
As for the broadcasting part, it's what I went to school for and I worked in sports broadcasting from '08 through '14 and then part-time after that. I'm a better public speaker than writer, in my opinion.

I hope your plan includes spending long enough in a swing state to establish residency before you GTFO.

Trump said "hey libs, if you're so open borders, how would you like it if I BROUGHT THE IMMIGRANTS TO YOU?" and it owned the libs, not because of anything based in reality, but because it made MAGA trolls feel good. Trumpkins love that line. The facts involved don't matter at all, the actual liberal response from real people doesn't matter at all, the only thing that matters is that Trump owned the libs and his dumb fans cheered.
I haven't opened the CP thread on this but also I don't need to, I already know what's inside, all the Trump fans love it and none of them care one bit if mayors actually have their arms wide open.
Yup, basically. It's always projection, and they believe we're as full of **** on immigration as they are on like everything. So they think we hate/are scared of immigrants too, and are just lying because politics. Thus, even if we welcome immigrants in, they'll think we got owned... But in the end, who cares? We get to do the right thing and our cities get to prosper!
