Seems like an R introduced this bill a week after the state just passed its general budget (which included aid for undocumented immigrants; the two things are obviously not related) and Ds are like "what the ****, this should have been in the budget". Cuomo still supports the bill and it will probably pass at some point in the future, though Trump sticking his nose into the middle of it has probably decreased the chances of that happening. Great work, Trump!

The lack of solidarity from Dems against the absolutely insane Islamophobic bigotry spewing from the GOP is shameful. It won't win much votes but what's the point of a being a left wing party if you won't consistently, unambiguously stand up against bigotry? That we haven't seen more Christchurch style attacks in America is surprising (perhaps because the most rabid Islamophobes tend to live far away from any Muslims?) but the potential, particularly if there is a Jihadist attack in America, is terrifying.
