Advisor: Mr. President, we have an opening at agency X.
Trump: Who do we have that wrote an Op-Ed saying I'm great?
Advisor: This guy stands out. He already pays you rent.

I had forgotten Herman Cain dropped out of the race because of very credible sexual harassment allegations and public disclosure of cheating on his wife, every time, the best people

He really doesn't want those tax returns out.

Give us a call when you get there so we know you got in safe.

I have to say it’s a little promising that some internal administration force caused the orange idiot to not close the border. We all know it wasn’t him but it at least it tells us there is some power resisting the morons worst urges.

Makes me think the absolute worst set of outcomes to the orange nazis presidency are a little less likely.

This was my immediate thought, too, but I was shocked to learn that he does have some relevant experience. From Wikipedia:

Quote:
Cain was chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Omaha Branch from 1989 to 1991. He was deputy chairman, from 1992 to 1994, and chairman, from 1995 to 1996, of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

That along with the fact that Cain doesn't have a long history of screaming to abolish the Fed instantly puts him at the top .001% of Trump appointees. #TEAMCAIN

President and chair of district banks, especially the smaller district banks like Kansas City, are almost purely political appointments.

I estimate the probability Herman Cain got significant relevant experience at approximately zero.

Even the Washington Examiner is roasting him for that:
Trump, the make-a-deal president, undermines own deal with USMCA tweet
In a tweet, blasted off before heading to the southern border, however, Trump derailed arguments in favor of his own deal in Washington. Why should lawmakers support a deal that the president is already eager to undermine? Trump's tweet implies to allies and rivals alike that a deal is no protection from the unilateral, tariff-happy whims of the president.
