Great, glad your working toward this valiant goal. Obviously we have to get the above sorted before we make any changes to illegal immigration enforcement. Otherwise things would really be out of whack. As soon as the republicans have put a generous work visa policy in place for those industries (I'm sure they're right on it) then we can talk about restrictions to illegal immigration. Glad you agree.

the announcement of withdrawal of all aid to mexican countries came first

it's all a setup crafted by stephen miller et al, they're trying to manufacture a "crisis"

i mean you're not dumb, obviously, and you know this. but yea.

I’ve maintained from the start the Democrats can get him to support single payer. All they have to do is send Nancy in to his office opposing it.

Well if you don't have insurance then the whole deductible question becomes moot. Can't argue with that.

Trump is putting out the healthcare ultimatum because the deficit is blowing up and he can cut costs without losing the massive tax break he just gave himself and his rich friends. The con is obvious.

White House whistleblower says 25 security clearance denials were reversed during Trump administration

Quote:
Newbold also accused Kline of telling her to, in effect, stand down on concerns about another senior White House official, called “Official 2” by the panel. She said one of her colleagues wrote a 14-page summary of why they were planning to deny the application. But when she told Kline of her plan to agree with her colleague on the matter, Kline “instructed Ms. Newbold, ‘do not touch’ the case.”

Kline later approved the security clearance, she said.

Democrats have already identified Kline as one of the people they want to interview. In his letter to the White House, Cummings said the panel’s first subpoena would be to depose Kline, who now works for the Department of Defense.

We got Kline?
04-01-2019 , 10:27 AM
Not even sure if that’s illegal, tbh. I think the executive branch has wide latitude to give clearances any way they see fit.
04-01-2019 , 10:30 AM
If he wants to take the bullet and claim he made the decisions to issue risky clearances on his own, sure, otherwise you can imagine people higher up may be implicated. However, wegothim.gif is a reference to the sarcastic John Oliver clip which implies that although this would be a big deal if anything mattered, nothing does actually matter, and this will be forgotten about by the party of national security within a week.

Ah. Bad sarcasm meter here.

Lol, pretty critical problem with our system of government that there is apparently zero check on th president being a massive criminal who says “lol, no” to any and all measures aimed at accountability.
04-01-2019 , 11:03 AM
Yep. POTUS has way too much power.

The problem is the Republican Party is complicit because he is popular. It’s a conceited effort by a lot of people to protect him because it’s politically advantageous.

"the all important Citizenship Question"

Trump presidency in a nutshell. From Birtherism to 5 million illegal Hillary votes to abolishing birthright citizenship to kids in cages to the month-long shutdown to the WALL to closing the border to the Census.
