As much as I'd like to see Hillary fail, I just fear that the damage done would be too difficult to reverse. So I'm leaning toward McCain support as well.

He's NOT a real conservative, but he also doesnt want to bankrupt the country by handing out "free" healthcare to everyone either. He has also said he'll push to make the Bush tax cuts permanent, and he won't bail on the war before he's finished reciting the inauguration oath like Clinton will.

McCain isnt perfect, but he's also not NEARLY as bad as Clinton. However, you also have to weigh in on the fact that he will have a completely useless democratic house/senate to work with. So they'll probably just make him look worse by being the douchebags they've shown themselves to be.

I think we're screwed either way. McCain and more of the same, or Clinton and socialism.

But the take on Hillary and walking away from the war and socialism goes to show that you don't let Conservatives telling you that your candidates are Socialists have any impact. They will do that no matter who is nominated.
