Just a quick observation about this. Classes get a lot smaller in competitive comp sci programs really fast. By third year or second half of second year, you’ve already filtered out most students that can’t learn the material on his/her own.
Similar sorting happens in business school with competent Excel monkeys signing up for operations management and advanced corporate finance while others pick stuff like “Human Resources management.”
In law school, well, how do you feel about “codes” like securities regulation, ERISA, and tax?
