Ah yes, Kissinger had a deep respect for the foundations of global democracy, as evidenced by his concern for democratic institutions in Chile, SE Asia, East Timor, and elsewhere. Kissinger was willing to go the extra mile to promote peace and democracy in these regions in a way that Trump will never do.
