I do like how CNN has the chiron Pelosi: Trump proposal a "non-starter" throughout the speech

Permanent fix for DACA has to be what the Dems come back with.
01-19-2019 , 05:22 PM
Yup, immediate citizenship or GTFO
01-19-2019 , 05:24 PM
Summary:
$800M in humanitarian assistance
$805M security at ports of entry
2750 law enforcement (border patrol)
75 new immigration teams (judges)

They won’t come back with anything because they aren’t negotiating while he has our country hostage
01-19-2019 , 05:26 PM
This better not move the needle on public opinion

It’s horrible
01-19-2019 , 05:26 PM
Also fine with coming back with nothing except open the govt.

Did he even mention the huge amount of federal employees/contractors who aren't getting paid and have ****ty lives right now because of his whiny ***** ass?
01-19-2019 , 05:27 PM
Democrats should reply with the video of him saying he will take credit for the shutdown
01-19-2019 , 05:33 PM
Didn't he say the Senate will vote on that bill and then send it to the House?

The House should refuse to vote on it until the Senate votes on the bills the House is sending them.

Well that was very Jeb! like with the low energy so she has a point there.

I am a casual and rarely post but just wanna say I've seen some mention of the forum being shut down the last couple days and I hope it's not true. I have no idea what is going on or why but this thread and it's posters, both informative and hilarious, have helped me cope with this **** show of a presidency, so if this place goes away I hope you all regroup somewhere else where I can continue to lurk and find some peace and sanity. Thanks all.

Hell to the No.

Why doesn't Trump just pay for the wall himself? I thought he was a rich and successful billionaire.

1. build wall using Trump $$ ("I paid!")
2. crime and drugs cut by half
3. easiest re-election ever

Dems proposing wall funding on a matching basis (like your employer matching 401k contributions, but Trump having to match the wall funds) would be such an elite troll
01-19-2019 , 06:08 PM
Or they should exchange temporary DACA for a temporary wall.

I could support 2,000 miles of cubicle dividers.

Yep. And what does anyone expect would have happen if Dems took that offer anyway? Racist quagmire gets built, dreamers eventually deported

Good times

Now THIS would be hilarious

DACA was refused to be heard by Supreme Court recently and the corrupt 9th Circuit struck it down. It will be 1-3 years before it is even ruled on if it is.
