The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: Harm to Ongoing Matter The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: Harm to Ongoing Matter

Coal bunkers were integral components of the protection scheme for 19th century warships! They would store the coal above the main armor plating on the ship, so that shells would have to pass through the stored coal before reaching the armor. So maybe a steel behind a long, linear mound of coal?

They should make the wall out of whatever they make those black boxes on planes out of, amirite?

On Chapo they were saying that his advisers couldn't get him to remember/repeat anything complex and nuanced with regard to immigration, so they arrived on "BUILD WALL" because it was simple enough for him to remember and repeat.

Someone should tell Trump the wall should be made of unobtainium.

I'm here to support the right to arm bears.

Can't believe nobody has had this idea yet. A coal wall! You have to get this idea to Trump, Jesus Christ.

The 4-dimensional aliens who monitor earth were trying to warn us.

So MNBC and CNN strategy parade all the folks that are suffering from the shutdown and Fox parade all the folks who had a family member killed by an Illegal immigrant

Fox went to a small town and interviewed 4 folks at a café (old & white) Woman says we support Trump he understands us and grew up like us? Sadly the reporter didn't say your daddy gave you millions

What a farce

They have this stuff folks, it's called clean coal. A wall of it 40 feet high. So clean you can see through it. You can't get around it. You'll never get over it. It's perfect.

Their apparent thinking was that they could shut down all remittances to Mexico (which are in the billions annually), which would cost Mexico much more than whatever the wall number was, and rather than lose out on all that sweet cash Mexico would cave and pay for the wall.

I legit had no idea that it was anything more than Trump bluster before I heard it.
Well damn! Right after I posted this Acosta retweeted from 2016:

So I just assume this is stupid/unworkable/not legal since it's not being pushed now?

You can't tunnel through coal folks, ask the generals. It can't be done!

Or maybe plutonium. While this option admittedly would be expensive, the monitoring costs would be minimal, and the effectiveness would speak for itself.

polonium-210 is the pro move

Think about the jobs, GREEN jobs, that will be created constructing the GREAT CLEAN COAL BERM!

Tell him the crush of illegal immigrants will eventually turn the wall into diamond.

Little Marco somehow made a good point (from his point of view, anyway) about how Trump using omgz national emergency to get wall money would be a bad idea, because the next "national emergency" could be climate change.
01-10-2019 , 12:15 PM
The actual Rubio quote which I've just now bothered to google

Quote:
Such a declaration would set a precedent, Rubio said. "If today, the national emergency is border security ... tomorrow the national emergency might be climate change." Declaring a national emergency, which would certainly face legal hurdles, could give Trump the ability to use the military to build the wall instead of getting Congress to approve the funding for it.

Somehow I have no doubt that Rubio was obnoxiously making air quotes while saying the words 'climate change' in that quote.
01-10-2019 , 12:26 PM
It's not a bad idea tbh.

This really is the best use of the slippery-slope fallacy ever - "hey if we start invoking emergency powers for racist imaginaries, the next thing you know we'll be using them for legitimate, impending, world-wide catastrophe!"

Love me some Republican party.

Too bad Obama is too busy cashing those Deutsche Bank checks to respond.

Sad!
01-10-2019 , 01:12 PM
It really sucks that Hillary didn't refer to them as "basket of idiots" because it would have been awesome seeing all those Trumpstains proudly labeling themselves "idiot" on the social medias
01-10-2019 , 01:28 PM
Chiefsplanet's entire thrust right now is that Democrats used to be cool with a wall at one time. It must be running on a loop in a derposphere.

They're pretty sure it was some other party that obstructed everything Obama tried to do for 8 years.

He never said what he just said he did. Obviously.
