I flew out of O'hare a couple days ago and I was pretty surprised to see the security line going out past the normal roped off area where it usually starts and snaking through the arrival hall. I guess lots of TSA workers are calling in sick so they're way understaffed. In order to get people through in a timely fashion they basically scrapped all the normal security protocols like taking off shoe and belts, taking out the laptops etc and were just waving people through. They didn't give a ****, it was pretty funny to see.

But yea, if all these people went on strike and the airports got shut down, then we'll see how long this gov't shutdown will last.

So, by Trump throwing a temper tantrum and claiming it's about better security, we actually have worse security in an area that historically (9/11) has issues with security? Yep.

My great-grandpa moved to Michigan from Canada, not sure I’d qualify for anything. Also, I think he was sort of run out of town after a drunken brawl so maybe that angle won’t work. I do like hockey and Tim Hortons, tho.

I doubt he’s going to seek re-election, he almost retired instead of running in 2018. I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t even finish out his term.
