Of course, it was just the first actual write up I could find for the obvious horse**** talking point that the tax cuts paid for themselves. Republicans can spend trillions of dollars and nobody gives a **** but AOC talks about spending money and the media ****s its pants asking her where it's going to come from.

I am pleased to inform you that THERE’S A COMPLETELY REAL NATIONAL EMERGENCY THAT WAS TOTALLY NOT MADE UP BY ME

It's a lock he uses the same dumb **** Chris Wallace called out SHS for yesterday, at least.

So IANAL but I 've been reading up on the 1976 National Emergencies Act and it seems like there's jack **** the Dems can do to stop Trump from going full dictator here.

Pity I have a runny **** scheduled at that same time

I posted an article in the thread about it yesterday. It's true. It's ****ed up. He can even freeze bank accounts for anyone he assumes is helping refugees. He can also declare martial law in sanctuary cities where the police refuse to do ICE's work.
01-07-2019 , 03:26 PM
Yeah he can pretty much take over the media, the internet, declare martial law, whatever

Our government is based on congress checking the president but doesn’t really do much to protect us if one group gets president and one branch of congress and wants to go rogue together

Ginsberg is missing arguments, welp

The other reason it's a problem is ~40% of the country actually wants him to do it.

The dopes in OOT would erase AOC's votes and claim the president declared a national disaster if they could.

If I was an "Iowan", I'd be pretty upset that one of my Senators assumed I was so simple that the President would need to dumb down his speech so I could have a shot at understanding it.

Lol, just kidding no I wouldn't.
01-07-2019 , 03:58 PM
Imagine being so stupid you need a guy like Trump to dumb down his speech for you.
01-07-2019 , 04:01 PM
He probably meant it more in terms of not sounding like a smarmy ****, which he's similarly incapable of.
01-07-2019 , 04:05 PM
True, but its more fun to think his supporters are that ****ing stupid.

The networks refused to carry an Obama speech about immigration because it was "overtly political". Surely they will do the right thing this time.

NARRATOR: They won't.

That Stetler tweet is also a nice reminder that media executives rank their fear of being criticized by conservatives as equally important to giving factual information to the public.

I like this idea. Do it Pop-up Video style.

People are going to watch the speech, so networks will run it, because they are unprincipled.

The key here is not to reward them by watching the stupid speech.
01-07-2019 , 04:34 PM

People need to stop hanging on every word he says, every tweet, every lie and just ignore the bull****. This speech is going to be a bunch of bull**** and lies about how immigrants are raping and pillaging the country. He feeds off of all the attention and it just gives him more power. So don't watch it, don't talk about it, just ignore it.
