It IS disgraceful, he shaved 50 lbs off her at least with that painting.

John Oliver's segment last night on Pence was pretty amusing. its up on youtube already.

Pence's children's book is out today. And the John Oliver show produced a competing book where the bunny is gay and trying to live a normal life and it looks like Pence is the bad guy. You can actually purchase the book and an audio book which has Jim Parsons, jesse tyler fergusen, john lithgow, ellie kemper and some others voicing the characters.

If renewables are able to beat them in the market, good for renewables.
Japan says hi.

The problem with safety at nuclear plants is that even though there's like a really minuscule chance of anything happening, when something DOES happen it has the potential to be an order of magnitude more devastating than any other type of disaster.

Like yeah, an oil spill is really bad for sure, but it doesn't result in them telling people in Sweden not to eat potatoes for the next 40 years.

There's a plethora of options. Some people want to ban handguns and semi autos while leaving shotguns and bolt action rifles so people can still have their father son time with the old gun. Some people would let you shoot guns as ranges (but not take them outside of the range), etc, etc, etc. Even Britain lets people fox hunt with guns.

In a world where the majorly of gun control advocates got their way there'd still be plenty of opportunities for good family bonding over a gun.

I recall that the Fukushima thread itf was a jaw-dropper, with a virtuoso performance from Dvaut1.

Here is a retirement plan idea: randomly assign new employees either a pension or 401k, but don't tell them which one they get until they retire or die.

Eric was prob typing, consent was suggested, and figured it was spelled consentration. Makes sense. Consent + tration = consentration.

Why you libtards gotta pick on him? Next thing you'll do is tell him to leave this country if he can't use correct English grammar.

Lol guns. I just cant imagine we live in a world where families bond over a ****ing killing machine. I know it happens and I get it. It still makes me think WTF?

You're saying you've never felt that warm glowing family feeling you get from the largely unnecessary killing of a living being? What a weirdo.

Let’s go ahead and add huckabeast to the list of hypocrisy in this sub forum. If someone called Michelle “the obamabeast” the outrage would have been massive and the ban swift.

And Jim Carrey shouldn’t throw stones from his glass house. After all he did give a woman 3 stds and then demonized her when she accused him of infecting her. She killed herself about a year later.

That is vastly overstating the disaster potential for nuclear and vastly understating the disaster potential for other power sources. The worst hydroelectric disaster killed 1,000 times more people than the worst nuclear disaster. Coal and natural gas has killed many many more people than nuclear. And it's hard to imagine worse nuclear disasters than Chernobyl. That was pretty much as bad as a nuclear disaster could get. And the impact, both in terms of environmental impact and lives lost, was pretty close to the impact of say the Deepwater Horizon disaster.

This sounds horrible, can you link the story please? I'm sincerely not a Carey fan so not familiar with it.

In the age of times up and me too, you would think more people would defend her. But no, nothing but crickets.

I agree with this. I'm ok with calling her a duplicitous, evil, self serving, c**t (or DESC if you're into that whole brevity thing) but huckabeast should be off the table imo.

Yup. (But don't want the issue to derail the thread. There's a lot going on in Trumplandia that we're not hitting.)
