That and he doesn't seem to care for uppity black women who don't know their place.

This is bigger (and better) news than Jones winning imo.

I always wonder about how black people could vote for Roy Moore. Could it be that a non racist fairly unintelligent innocent white person just so happens to be in an area where all his friends are racist derps who convince him to become a Moore supporter for "reasons" and then that person befriends black people who they then convince to become Moore supporters. The other Moore supporters don't like the new black person, but don't want to be outwardly racist so they tolerate their presence?

Or more simply, is it people lying to exit pollsters? People confusing the name Jones and Moore? I would probably lie to an exit pollster depending on my mood, and from my understanding of British people most of them would frequently do the same.

I missed this in all the news of the day, but this is more great news out of Alabama:

I imagine some black folk would be able to improve their social standing and neighborly relations in Alabama by being vocal Moore supports. Also, in the United States most minority communities are conservative on social issues. It's kind of hilarious, because if the Republicans weren't so goddamn racist they'd probably win every election on abortion or intolerance of homosexuals alone.

Yeah I'd say it's mostly crazy religious types who are super anti-abortion.

That issue is such a pain in the ass. How long until these nutjobs get over it? Will it be less of an issue in a few generations?

Anti-abortion, anti-gay, pro-god's law over law of man. Simple stuff. I think abortion is probably the actual least of it even if it is the standard call out.

I don't personally think it will ever go away. If abortion is outlawed then it will be "nuttery" from pro-abortion groups in perpetuity.

Anecdotally...I work across the street from a small abortion clinic. AT LEAST 4 days at week there are 1-2 people out there marching up and down, holding signs, holding rosary necklaces or whatever they're called, praying, etc. The next pro-abortion counter-protester I see out there will be the first. People who are fervently anti-choice are never going to let it go.

Hell, there was an interview with some deplorable's KID on NPR Tuesday and the whole ****ing family was all in for a pedophile because of his abortion stance. People in the South are being taught from birth to be like that.

If they were acquitted for rioting or whatever it seems hard to convict them for destroying property but I guess it's possible if it's going to jury.

would have been good, but it got canceled due to sexual harassment. Sounds like a joke as I type it, but sadly it's not.

UN shocked by level of poverty in Alabama:
'We haven't seen this in the first world'

Philip Alston, whose job takes him around the planet to look at conditions of extreme poverty, said some of the things he saw in parts of Alabama so-called Black Belt, particularly in regard to sewage disposal, were unprecedented in the West.

“I think it's very uncommon in the first world. This is not a sight that one normally sees,” said Philip Alston, the UN’s Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights. “I’d have to say that I haven’t seen this."

People in the region frequently suffer from E. Coli and hookworm, a disease associated with extreme poverty and which was thought to have been eradicated in the US more than 100 years ago.

This is sure to spur change in a state that equates the U.N. with Stasi
