Can one become a full citizen of most European countries? I only ask because I have a lot of Arab buddies from Morocco and Algeria who came to America via France and Belgium, and they felt more isolated from those societies than they subsequently have in the United States. Granted, that's anecdotal, but it's pretty consistent "feeling" from North African immigrants in the US who also live in Europe. At least the ones I know, but maybe theyre just trying to be nice.

America often falls short of our ideals, yet it is the idea that has made us great. Trump shall pass, thanks to patriots, not critics.

To clarify, Trump deserves worlds of criticism, as do his racist and xenophobic supporters. Their small mindedness can not comprehend that the very thing about America, diversity and constant regeneration, is vital to our success. While other Western Democracies are dying, America continues to be a beacon/goal of many around the world, in a way France or Belgium will never be. The haters in the GOP see only the America they know or accept, and they will end up on the ash heap of history as we move forward.
America's democracy is as strong as ever?

Agreed. Or Australia or New Zealand if possible.

No I would dare say Trump and the radical right have brought us to a crisis level. I just meant that Continental Europe seems to have been slowing down and depending more and more on their guest worker programs.

I also believe that RU/Putin is pushing Nationalism (EthnoReligious) in attempt to check our dynamism. Same as he is doing by supporting right wing groups in France, Germany, Poland, et cetera. It has to gall him that Russians love moving to London or New York, but you don't see too many Westerners clamoring to emigrate to Moscow.

Any party that runs on an anti immigration and anti trade platform is essentially doing the bidding of our enemies.

There's a reason the word "ethnically" is showing up in Sqred's posts.

Well, if you mean it is because I am 100% against "Ethnic Nationalism" and view it as THE existential threat to the US and our allies, you hit the nail on the head.

When using the word about the United States its a fill in for actually naming the actual countries whose emigres have done well in America, regardless of race.

If you were insinuating that I harbor alt right tendencies, you are wrong, as is evidenced by my numerous posts condemning Trump and his hard core supporters.

Just ranting, but generally I believe that the alt right, which has been effective lately, is a front for Russian intelligence attempting to divide Americans by exploiting their base fears, while simultaneously influencing legislation that is in direct opposition to our interests.

I'm a psycho, but at least I'm an anti Trump psycho.

You keep saying Europe is a 'guest worker' based economy. In 2016 3.8% of the EU workforce was not an EU citizen. In the US the same rate was 4.3%.

The alt right is clearly sent by the Harlem globe trotters who are desperate to distract everyone from the truth the FEers are about to expose. The Harlem disk trotters just isn't as catchy.
