Thanks.

He's obviously lying, but I don't think that the above looks like it's enough for perjury.

Hilarious until it blows up on r/TheDonald and someone gets shot.

This is the first time since like November I thought some **** just had to be The Onion. I'm a cynical **** and you all know my opinion of Trump and his voters.

Jesus ****ing Christ.

Of course they would get to run. Just that they all would likely lose to Trump. (Assuming trump runs for re-election).

I am not a democrat so I will have no say in who they choose as their candidate. However I do hope it is actually someone that can and will win. All three of those listed above have issues that make them less than ideal. Warren is by far the best of the three but she would actually suffer following Hillary’s run. The democrats hit gold with obama and maybe there is a future candidate out there that can take that next step. I certainly do not think the Democratic Party is competent enough to find him or her. So it is going to have to come from somewhere else.

Being flat out ageist I think all three of them are less than viable because of their age alone. I think there will be a real bounce back against older candidates because of this last election and the mental deterioration of Donald Trump.

People who can be president: Trump
People who can’t be president: less than ideal candidates

Story checks out

I'm extremely skeptical of this "Bernie and Warren just too old let's be serious" line when like one month ago criticizing Kamala Harris for being a prosecutor was seen as an unforgiveable sin. I mean, their ages are legit, but everybody has pros and cons. That's what the primary is for.

Lol, the White House spokesperson literally said the check is in the mail, a cliche used to describe situations when a bull****ter has not made good on a commitment to pay. You can't make this stuff up.

Hidden gem from that article: how quickly Trump gets derailed

Quote:
The grieving father said he then spoke at length about his son’s love for the Army and his determination to become a Ranger, a distinction he earned at age 19. About midway through the phone call, the elder Thomas shared with Trump that he had voted for him, and “that got him on another tangent” that extended the conversation for about 10 minutes,” the father said.

The president then spoke about his work in office and “the strides that he’s made in the short time he’d been president,” Thomas said.
Trump heard that the father of a dead soldier voted for him and spent the phone call talking about his YUGE electoral college victory LOL

The Trump administration as a sketchy online retailer that finally makes good on their broken promises only when called out in a humiliating public fashion is a pretty perfect analogy

Man this dead solider stuff is really upsetting me. My dad's an awful deplorable whom I need to go help around the house today. If he starts repeating fox news points about this stuff which he always does or calling the mother a liar I might lose it. I gave him fair warning I don't want to hear politics but that usually doesn't stop him :/

Yes. Because there is a double standard. There should not be but there is.

Keep playing chess while they are playing demolition derby.

The article says the soldier died June 10th, and that Trump called "a few weeks" after. Let's go with 3 weeks after, placing the call around July 1st.

I don't think I've ever had something get lost for 3.5 months in the mail.

So I logged into my open enrollment. This is going to be a pivot point, unlike the last 100 or next 100 times he proves himself to be a subhuman piece of **** on camera.

The options that are closest to the coverage I used to have for my family three years ago now would cost me $3.4 k a month. The worst options which are basically useless will still cost me $600 a month with higher deductibles and terrible copays.

Will he succeed in convincing his followers who are about to be demolished by this that it is Obama and Mitch's fault or will this be the pill that is too tough to swallow?

The guy said he got a letter from the White House. There was no check in the envelope.

I'm sure that this is a stupid question, but are there any limits on the president's ability to make otherwise legal cash gifts to individuals?

Purely as a hypothetical, could Bill Gates run for president on a platform that he would make a personal gift of $50 to every American if elected.

I just find the whole situation very odd.

Yeah, but the Republicans don't get to decide who everyone else votes for. So when we're worried about idiots who are supposed to fall for the Fox News propaganda and might have voted for a raging centrist, but not a liberal, a woman, a Jew, a Muslim, another black person, an old, or a gay person we're NOT talking about Republicans.

And if you don't remember, when the Dems run a centrist, Fox News viewers get convinced they are communists NO MATTER WHAT.

And fundamentally I think the notion that all these non-voters are just not voting because they're on the fence exactly half way between Democrats and Republicans and they are equally ok with either is very wrong. They are mostly either not interested because they just don't care and never will, or they think both parties are full of **** liars who just pander to everyone. The second group there is full of people all over the spectrum.

If there ever were an opponent where you should quit taking the radical leftists and progressive Democrats for granted and instead take the centrist Democrats for granted it's Trump. Just quit trying to convert Republicans.

I wonder if Trump will 1099 him

I don't believe that Bernie or Warren would give the Democrats the best chance to win in 2020, but I certainly agree that the progressive wing of the party is unlikely to see a better opportunity to put one of their own in the White House than it will have in 2020 if Trump is the GOP candidate.
10-18-2017 , 05:01 PM
I'm pretty sure when the President mails a check for $25k he probably gets the sort of mail with a tracking number so I'm sure we'll be getting that soon
