I recognize that they're in between a rock and a hard place. Show the protests, and a lot of racists tune out. Don't show them, and a lot of minorities or liberals may tune out. They've also already lost some viewership from both sides.

At some point, just do what's right.
The anthem is not often shown in routine NFL games. But now, I don't think there's much doubt that the NFL and TV networks must show it. It has become a news story and if the sports crews can't handle it, then news crews will have to be enlisted to do the coverage, but it has to be covered. It would be dereliction of duty as journalistic entities not to cover the story.

I wonder if this is the beginning of a meltdown triggered by the battle of words with NK and Kim's legendary dotard insult.

I fired an AR15 at a gun range just outside of Toronto, that thing is ridiculous and has no place in the hands of any non military/ law enforcement personnel.
It's just point and click, probably easier for someone unexperienced with guns to kill people with that than in a video game.

You can start by dropping any involvement in fantasy sports so you have less reason to pay attention to the many teams/players you don't otherwise care about.
wow, i've (re-)read this several times over and i think i actually agree with our comrade here for once.

Someone here posted an idea about a month back

Look at the US history in recent times. Iraq, went in and killed sadam. Afghanistan, went in and stayed there for 15+ years

If you are NK, you don’t know that the US is going to do. Especially now with Cheeto as the president.

We can’t just assume KJU will sit back and wait.

I pay not attention to football. Couldn't even tell you who is playing.

Is there really a chance of some mass protest by players today or is it just wishful thinking? I can't find much on mainstream media about its potential.

These protests have nothing to do with Democrats, and the players making them do not represent the Democratic Party so what exactly are you rambling about?

**** trump. We are not supporting him.

If the football players who were protesting were white poconder, and the other deplorables, wouldn't mind at all.

Like everything involving trumpkins it's just pure unabashed racism.

Nothing more.

The more we are in this nightmare the clearer it is that this is the only thing they care about. It is nothing more than a white supremacist organisation led by thier fat, orange, repulsive, dim-whitted grand wizard.

Hahaha sweet $1 million donations owners. Trump inserting himself is the worst thing possible for their business.

Yep, because no matter what happens the league loses (massively oversimplifying, of course) half their money.

I can’t tell if Lebron is calling out trump or curry?

I feel handicapped in this whole debate. Lol.

Pat Tillman a white guy and former football player and betrayed by his country more than 99 percent living today. I wouldn't support everyone in the country kneeling for him. My opinion kneeling for the anthem means you don't want to live in this country. **** Trump. Its not like Obama would make a campaign rally for Colin Kaepernick to get a job.

Non-American here with 2 questions.

Does the average American really think 'America is the greatest nation in the history of mankind' or is it just the idiotic newsreaders on Fox News that I keep seeing saying this?

And secondly....does the average American really think it's the be all and end all to stand and salute your flag or is it just Trump and his moronic followers? I mean is it really that important to most Americans?

The US we see on TV is just a bizarre place.

it's crazy how, when people kneel to say prayers, to propose for marriage, and to show respect for the dead, now all of a sudden kneeling for the national anthem at a ****ing football game is perceived as some great travesty and ultimate show of contempt in the minds of "conservatives"

it makes absolutely no sense until you factor in that the people kneeling are black. and then it makes perfect sense

I’m also not American but I think the evidence strongly supports a yes to both of your questions.

America takes patriotism to insane lengths on both the left and right.

Collins did everything but outright say "no" to Graham/Cassidy on CNN just now.

Yeah I mean I'm Australian and most Australians would probably say Australia's the best country in the world but most wouldn't carry on about it because you sound like an ignorant/arrogant dikhead.
