Is there any consensus how this DACA/immigration standoff ends?

I predicted the results of the last few major policy initiatives (healthcare would largely stay the same as Trump/GOP had no plan) and tax cuts would happen (because it's the issue the GOP is most unified on)

Not really sure how this ends up going though. And I could be wrong but I feel like if Trump caves on DACA/amnesty that may be the 1 issue his base won't let slide.

I'd like to think that the GOP and his administration wear him down and sign a favorable deal for dreamers. However, I don't think it'll happen. The reality is that Trump doesn't give a **** about dreamers and is only using them as a bargaining chip for the wall. If anything, dreamers getting kicked out would be a boom for him. All he'll do is blame it on the Democrats and anything that says otherwise will sweep the fake news awards (wtf?). In the end, it's win-win. Either he gets the wall and fulfills his promise or immigrants get booted out. His approval rating goes up in either case.
