i think the sentiment from the guy interviewed on whether Puerto Ricans should move to the main land, "i object, I object. they should stay and fix their own country up" is probably the anthem of those dumb voters.

I love lines like, to paraphrase "Many agree with Trump that PR's infrastructure was weak before the hurricane." I've heard this **** from people in my day to day life as well. How did these people get so knowledgeable about Puerto Rico's infrastructure?

Birth control issue is really amusing.

Problem: “Black and Hispanic women are having twice as many babies as white women and we are being replaced!”

Solution: “Stop giving them birth control”

"Them" in your solution includes white women, and trying to force white women to have more babies than they presently do is absolutely how they intend to deal with the looming demographic tide.

It’s not going to work that way, look at the chart. The white women birth rate declined less than the minority’s rate. They can more often afford to pay for it.

Yeah I have seen the Trump line on the Puerto Rican’s being lazy and not helping being repeated.

Cutting off birth control is the religious right's thing not a white nationalist thing. I'm sure they'll find a way to fuse the two together.

Not to mention that Houston is a poorly designed city that is the poster child for urban sprawl that almost certainly contributed to the damage from the flooding there.

"Poorly designed" implies effort and intent.

On C-SPAN McCain says, “One aspect of the (Vietnam) conflict by the way that I will never ever countenance is that we drafted the lowest income level of America and the highest income level found a doctor that would say that they had a bone spur. That is wrong. That is wrong. If we are going to ask every American to serve, every American should serve.”
10-22-2017 , 09:52 PM
Oh ****, "bone spurs," just a totally innocent example, first thing that came to mind.

Not only that but "they need to fix their own land and problems" you know, their land, ****ing America.

He will still vote for the tax cut bill

This is a bit results oriented but running up the popular vote to demonstrate the absolute ****ing stupidity of the electoral college is why you shouldn't vote third party in NY or CA.

I figured that Steve King congressmen already did when he said (I'm paraphrasing) "we won't save our country with someone else's babies". The religious right and the white nationalist right are largely one in the same.

There's certainly a very large overlap. The position of the white nationalist people isn't just that whites are better, full stop, they have a whole retrofitted fake history that credits everything good in the world to white European Christians and everything bad in the world is attributed to non-white non-Christians.

The problem is that Clinton usually wins, and you end up validating the EC. Two of the last five POTUSbowls have had a minority-PV winner. Before that, it's generally accepted not to have happened for over a hundred years. The margins don't really matter that much for arguing that something's wrong there, imo.

If it makes you feel better most of those comments probably weren't posted by Americans.
