I don't know what those sections mean. Does it still imply only ready reserve people? Whats the amendment mean?
Ahh. Looks like it does include retired reserve. Lol retirees.

How hard would it be for Trump to re-institute the draft?
10-20-2017 , 05:44 PM
I want to specifically say that just like the "blacks rule" driveway guy there's no ****ing way anti-war agitators who are militant enough to what, figure out where an individual soldier lived and then stake his place out to vandalize it when nobody was home would just

A) Do that once

B) Write baby-killer and do nothing else.

It's just not our style. Like, mailbombs, arson, some sort of red paint art piece... that I could see. But just graffiti? That's more your guys style.

The conservative party is generally pretty savvy at big picture stuff but the way they let literal ****ing Nazis latch on without being aghast was an insane misstep.

No, you're totally out of line on that.

Hahaha holy **** they really did leave one of our soldiers behind to die and are trying to cover it up.

Like when I say we can't make this Trump's Benghazi, that's still true, but the one lesson we should learn is not to ****ing humor these people the next time they try to moralize.

Trump probably gonna say that he was a deserter and died while running away from the action.
10-20-2017 , 06:04 PM
Trump prefers the ones who do't get caught, obviously
10-20-2017 , 06:14 PM
It may not be his Benghazi, but Niger is going to be a story for a while, it will inspire conspiracy theories, and Trump will lie about it.

donald trump dodged the draft 5 times for made-up medical reasons, before claiming to be the healthiest person to ever run for president. he later said on national radio that avoiding VD while furiously banging models was his vietnam.

pokerdoc voted for that guy then came in here to make some points about something

The EO applies to the "ready reserve". Which doesn't include retirees, or anyone else who served over 8 years* and didn't subsequently volunteer to stay in the reserves.

*This is 8 years of total service including active duty, active reserves, inactive reserves etc.
Due to a shortage of pilots

Air Force could recall as many as 1,000 retired pilots to address serious shortage

Half-Czech. Born and raised in Berkeley, CA, though. Giants fan ever since I had to choose between them and the A's in 1989 (though that decision was probably baked for me by the end of '88). Moved here -- Prague -- about 10 years ago, and currently very bummed out about where things are heading, because this country has been an incredibly bright spot in the Central/Eastern European landscape since the fall of the wall.

"Inside the country, disrespect is shown for him. This is a regrettable negative component of the U.S. political system," Putin said. He continued, saying that "one can argue but one can't show disrespect, even not for him personally but for those people who voted for him."

"Mr. Trump was elected by the American people. And at least for this reason, it is necessary to show respect for him, even if you do not agree with some of his positions," he added.

...

"I believe that the president of the United States does not need any advice because one has to possess certain talent and go through this trial to be elected, even without having the experience of such big administrative work. He [Trump] has done this," the Russian leader said. "He won honestly."

Trump lied, like duh obviously

The email exchange, which has not been previously reported, shows that senior White House aides were aware on the day the president made the statement that it was not accurate — but that they should try to make it accurate as soon as possible, given the gathering controversy.

Not only had the president not contacted virtually all the families of military personnel killed this year, the White House did not even have an up-to-date list of those who had been killed.
