Yeah, so does the Springfield XDm series. Here's a close-up of my XDm.
The safety is that forward portion of the trigger that must be depressed in order for the trigger to be fully depressed. As Neblis pointed out, in reality, most things that will depress the trigger will also depress the safety, so it's not really that useful.
I don't know if the S&W M&P has a trigger safety, but the Shield has a thumb safety, a la the 1911.
