Well it really only makes sense for expensive ammo like match grade rifle stuff, .375 sig, 10mm etc. For things like 9mm or 7.62 good factory reloads or surplus are so cheap that you may be only saving pennies a round if that. If your not into beach coming for brass at the range then your wasting $ buying casings. By the time you factor in time then your likely loosing money.
If you are shooting and reloading expensive ammo then you can add on the cheap stuff and do ok on cost.

Different strokes, some people love knitting or sodoku or watching golf. I think allot of the value in reloading to the people that do it is that it is a calm methodical thing.
