Has anyone tried buying a gun with Poker Stars's concierge service and FPPs? It's looking like they'll let me do it:

I guess this means I'm good to go? Pokerstars helps prepare for the zombie apocalypse, FTW.

Hello there.

I am a Supernova and currently have a little over 180,000 FPPs in my account and was curious about your concierge service. What exchange rate do you offer for reimbursements when I "spend" FPPs with this service?

Also I enjoy target shooting am specifically thinking about buying several hand guns in the next couple months. Each one will cost between $600 and $900. Would I be able to get reimbursed through your concierge service for these purchases?

Thank you,

Hello Xxxxx,

Thank you for contacting the PokerStars VIP Club.

The Concierge Service allows SuperNova players to purchase items (which are
not available in our VIP Store) on your own; you just need to email us a
copy of the receipt(s).

SuperNova players may only use the Concierge Service once per month, with a
maximum of three receipts. The total value of the receipts submitted must be
for a minimum of $500 USD and cannot be over 30 days old.

Once the receipts are received at vipclub@pokerstars.com we will deducted
the proper amount of FPPs and credit your account within 7 days.

- FPP CONVERSION RATE: 31,000 FPPs = US $500 (1 FPP = US $0.016129).

Thank you for making PokerStars your online site of choice. Please feel free
to contact us again if you require any further information or assistance.

Sincerely,

Jasmin R.

I got to fire an M-4 and an AR-15 yesterday at the local gun range. Both belonged to my friends. It was a lot of fun. I'll try to get a pic of the AR-15. It's pretty bad ass looking now that it has a quad rail and foregrip.

The one thing they will not buy for you is bullion for some reason.

Prefer sporting clays, though.

I think I'd like to do it, but my only experience was when I was like 10 and I didn't enjoy it because the shotgun was scary. I also missed every time. But, of all the target shooting stuff, this is the only kind that holds any interest for me.

looking at pistols and can't find something I would trust more than a Glock (17 or 22)...

self defense, target shooting, possible concealed carry, 9mm, .40, or .45

any suggestions?

has anyone shot an H&K USP?

I have.

I have an H&K P30 in 9mm which is very similar to the USP model and friend of mine has an H&K USP .45 tactical. Both utterly awesome.

H&Ks in general are absolutely great guns, but they are very expensive.

Ty gentlemen, I am going shopping next week at a few shops in town, there is really no telling what I may come home with.

New USP's for $700+ new, not bad.

Get a .50 cal Desert Eagle.

They ****ing rock.

Over 6 pounds in weight. Not the easiest concealed carry, but if you have a large frame and a shoulder holster, with the gun going from armpit to waistline works nicely (under a jacket of course lol).

I once brought it out without a my holster, impossible to carry down the front or back of your waist, possible to carry on the side of your waist tucked in but you wont be able to sit down, even on a tall bar stool, without jutting your leg out to the side to keep the gun concealed.

Possibly the best $1,200 some odd dollars I have ever spent

Why don't you trust Glocks? Even people who hate them admit they're about the most reliable handgun there is.

You can't really go wrong with any quality-branded pistol. Glock, H&K, Sig, Beretta, Springfield...etc.. You're better off choosing one that's a good size for you (if you'll be carrying) and that fits your hand well. It's a really personal decision.

Yes and at ~ $2/rnd it is definitely something you would want to shoot all the time.....

I don't believe he was saying that he doesn't trust Glocks. I think he is saying he is looking for something that is as reliable as one.

So I still need to find a way to raise some serious funds for a new gun. I want a new SHTF/Zombie/robot/alien apocalypse gun, dammit!

Also thinking about getting into 3 gunning. Seems like a lot of fun.

Except I'm getting it in 14.7" PA. Really dig the MRE with black hardware color scheme. Will eventually get a can for it, as well as some sweet optics.

Or hit them with your truck.
06-16-2010 , 03:32 AM
Can't you just walk up to possums and hit em with a shovel while they play dead?
