It was said multiple times but slightly different each time. The gist went something like, "I racked the SLIDE, and the bad guy went away".

Except there are no slides on shotguns. So one can only logically come to the conclusion that the slide was racked on the only thing that has a slide, a semi-automatic handgun.

Since I am sure the argument will be made, he just meant racking the shotgun, there are countless articles and training manuals that if you want to use sound to intimidate an intruder, you should either give a verbal command (I am armed and I will shoot you), or just start shooting. Either method still leaves someone who probably broke into your house to harm you if you resisted, alive.

And, as I pointed out earlier, you can't "start shooting" a shotgun unless you rack the shotgun first.

Yea I've got a few of those in my armory.

NBD.

FWIW, I'm not a massive Gen4 fan. I dug through the armaments when I got here and found me a nice Gen2 with little wear.

I was looking @ getting the hi-point 9, but can't find it online in California anymore. :/

I've yet to see a bad review on the gun. Everyone that's actually shot it loves it. I've seen a few different reviews from "police officers" (it is the internet, who knows) that had better accuracy with the hi-point than their standard gun.

Those that haven't even touched it are the only ones bashing it... because ZOMG you can't get a quality gun for $150.

Dude, they're junk.

I've shot them.

I mean it's only $150, but buy one, you'll see.

I recommend gripping the pistol as intended.

LOL ... proper grip on an unmodified glock = your hand will get gashed open. period.
12-06-2012 , 11:45 PM
You should probably grip it like a penis.

Look, all I'm saying is that if you don't like a GLOCK you're probably gay.

If you haven't seen a bad review you aren't looking hard enough.

FYP

To discuss the pros and cons of HP pistols:

Pros:
Tough
Reasonably reliable (for a $150 pistol)

Cons:
Horrible sights
Horrible ergonomics
Ugly design (Not all guns are pretty, but guns that aren't pretty should look mean)
Horrible controls
Bad trigger
Pain in the ass to field strip
