i know you're probably salty about the game passing you by, but no need to take it out on me homie
lol gotcha! guy who hasn't played in about 8 years didn't sell an ME package! I sold 100% of my action at higher markups in tougher events within a couple hours last time i posted a package and got two inquiries this time via PM from guys who wanted smaller pieces. Who cares? You're trying to make this personal because you know what i'm saying is true and you don't want to have to deal with it.

If you're still pulling in something like 200k a year grinding not many would pass that up. If you're making only a slight premium vs what you'd make doing something productive though maybe you being honest with yourself would nudge you in another direction.

I'm not questioning your character. I'm questioning your intellectual honesty. If your answer is IDGAF, own it.

trying to sell a package in 2018 with pre-2010 results is the ultimate marketplace faux pas, dont try and spin this.

I make my living off being genetically gifted. I'm not a Giannis level outlier, but I'm talented enough. I think leftist because I realize not everyone is so lucky.

right wingers also feel that they are amazingly great at anything they do by virtue of being born so if they lose at poker it is obv bc everyone is cheating them.

Well apparently I wouldn't know because I haven't been a part of that world for almost a decade. The point is that the act of playing poker for profit is parasitic - it's not personal. When I play, I am. When you play, you are. I'm not claiming to be a saint … I'm saying you're living in denial.

If you need the money to get by then you shouldn't feel any guilt about it. That's one of the reasons why I favor robust social safety nets. A lot harder to make virtuous choices when you're worried about having enough to get the basics out of life, and people generally aren't mindless sheep who will do the right thing just because you wag your finger at them.

The topic is about government oversight of these types of industries though and the argument i'm getting at is that discouraging professional play would be desirable in as much as the people who're playing for profit would otherwise have spent their time doing something that isn't antisocial. DUCY?

Yea, the only reason anyone can have anything negative to say about poker is because they're failures, bad at poker and hate their life. Deflect deflect deflect.

You win. No cognitive dissonance here.
