I think that would be a tough argument. In per capita terms, Australia's net immigration is double that of the US and it resettles twice as many refugees. The border situations are apples and oranges, Australia has the capacity to close its borders where the US doesn't, really, but certainly the number of people the US is currently detaining in camps, etc, would dwarf the number Australia has. I think you could argue we are AS right wing as the US, but more? idk about that.

Quote:
isn't it then the most comparable country to the US in terms of how right-wing it is? Thats not saying that Australia is as right-wing as US, but that its the only western country anywhere close.
Well for starters, what Christman was saying was actually that Australia was comparably as right-wing as the US.

As to second most right-wing country, It would depend on what you call western countries, but maybe. I'd throw out Switzerland, Hungary and Singapore as counter-suggestions. I'm not sure it's that edifying a ranking, though, it's like incarceration rates, which developed country is second behind the US isn't very relevant because they're all miles back. Like for example, Australia has the highest minimum wage on the planet. Does it make sense to call that the second most right-wing country? After the United States, what you have is a scattering of countries who are right-wing in some ways and not in others.

Trying to think of other issues where Australia is as far to the right as the US, I came up with one: climate change. Just like you guys, that will hopefully change after the next election.

This clip on Biden is fantastic; a good example of the kind of content I’m talking about:

Felix is the absolute worst.

Easily the funniest Chapo, what the hell.

Felix is definitely hit-or-miss. Some of his jokes require too much obscure knowledge to make everybody laugh.

At the same time, he's making them up on-the-spot. It's not an easy task. The hot couch and DVD menu music episode is peak Felix imo

On The Media has an episode that's absolutely bonkers:

When 20,000 Nazis Gathered in New York

Worth mentioning: Fox News CEO intervened to stop the network from airing an ad for "A Night at the Garden"

They claimed the ad was rejected for having Nazi imagery, a principle that they apparently don't apply to Dinesh D'Souza material

Chapo's interview with Larry Charles is awesome.

Even cooler is Larry's new Netflix show. It's a must if you're into stand-up.

For those who enjoyed Atlanta Monster about Wayne Williams and the Atlanta child murders, season 2 dropped. This one is on the Zodiac killer

He did Gilbert Gottfried’s pod a few weeks ago and it was great

The most awesome story he told was about a time where he and Bob Dylan developed a slapstick comedy which was to star Bob freaking Dylan himself. HBO greenlit it even. But Bob realized what a monumentally stupid idea it was and pulled out at the last minute

Includes proof of the connection between Nazism and modern-day godless leftism: the pledge of allegiance recited without the crucial "under god" phrase.

/s (I know full well that phrase was added well after the war.)

Chris Hayes just did a live episode of "Why Is This Happening?" with Stacey Abrams. Other than the publicity around her campaign for governor, I didn't know much about her going into it, and I am now a fervent Stacey 202X supporter. She is awesome.

Sure, but the reason you like Ben Shapiro is because he speaks quickly and confidently, not because he's correct about anything. Nor is he willing to actually "debate" people in good faith, he just talks over them. I've listened to him before and understand the appeal, but start listening to Chapo.

I respectfully disagree but its all good, my dude. He has a very clear Judeo-Christian worldview that is undergirded on the belief that we are all born free and that our rights are given to us by God. Whether or not you believe in God is irrelevant to the broader ideology that stems from it, the same ideology can be found in ancient Greek wisdom. He is largely a libertarian on most issues and I just think he gets smeared far too often and is widely mislabeled. (I think the nasally voice isnt helping haha) Unfortunately, I don't really have an interest in Mexican drug lords, though.

''I love being white and I think it's something to be very proud of,'' McInnes told a New York Times reporter in 2003. ''I don't want our culture diluted. We need to close the borders now and let everyone assimilate to a Western, white, English-speaking way of life.''

Quote:
'“Like at one point, the [Yad Vashem] tour guide goes, ‘You know, and there are people who think that [the Holocaust] didn’t happen.’ And I felt myself defending the super-far-right Nazis, just because I was sick of so much brainwashing. And I felt like going, ‘Well, they never said it didn’t happen. What they’re saying is that it was much less than six million and that they starved to death and they weren’t gassed.'”
Quote:
“We brought roads and infrastructure to India and they are still using them as toilets. Our criminals built nice roads in Australia but aboriginals keep using them as a bed. The next time someone bitches about colonization, the correct response is ‘You’re welcome.’”
—Gavin McInnes, “10 Things I like About White Guys,” Taki’s Magazine, March 2, 2017
Quote:
“Palestinians are stupid. Muslims are stupid. And the only thing they really respect is violence and being tough.”
—Gavin McInnes, The Gavin McInnes Show, March 8, 2017

etc, etc, etc, on and on forever. also there's the whole 'founded a neo-nazi militia' thing.

so to answer your question:

Uh, a little bit of on-the-scene reporting here: this is not a thing. I feel confident that McInnes cannot contradict me here, because we did not let him enter the country.

I find Shapiro entertaining but am under no illusion that he is debating in good faith. He's a master of the strawman argument and is very good at making it not SEEM like a strawman argument, until you take a moment to think about what he's saying.

Unlike Hannity/Levin etc. he does criticize/mock Trump occasionally, which I give him credit for. But mostly he seems to find Trump's unhinged rantings to be hilarious, like an awesomely off the rails reality show that we should all just enjoy for entertainment value.

In other words he is disingenuous, full of **** and lies about supporting Trump? Wow, that is nothing like I would have expected. Thank you for your internet forum post.
