MIT admissions weighs in:

Quote:
So: if any admitted students or applicants are disciplined by their high school for practicing responsible citizenship by engaging in peaceful, meaningful protest related to this (or any other) issue, we will still require them to report it to us. However, because we do not view such conduct on its face as inappropriate or inconsistent with their prior conduct, or anything we wouldn't applaud amongst our own students, it will not negatively impact their admissions outcome

Honestly if you replaced the entire DNC high command with random high school seniors the US would be in far better shape. Maybe they can learn a thing or two about passionately arguing for the things you believe in and trying to convince people you're right rather than milquetoast compromise and endless prevaricating.

This whole article is a pack of f*cking gibberish. From the Federalist
Quote:
Leftism’s cult of youth is coming out in glorious display by showcasing Stoneman Douglas High School students and their pending movement for severe gun control measures. Yes, “cult” perfectly suits a media rendered awe-stricken and rationally stunted by the shrieks of children. They share a psychological profile with historic cultists, from Adolph Hitler’s Nuremberg crowds to Jim Jones’ flock: the mind shuts down and rewires itself to make rational—in a democracy!—such Manichaean claims like “You’re either with us or you’re against us.”

But so much of leftism makes sense when you realize it’s a species of Christian heresy, gnostic millenarianism to be exact, that perverts so many of orthodox Christianity’s fundamental teachings. In this case, it’s Jesus’ teaching, “whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”

They shook.

Lol so Dana tweeted 10 years ago saying she hated teenagers. The Parkland kids dug up the tweet and are having fun with it.

WWJD? Arm the teachers with military assault weaponry ldo.

You know what would be super awesome? If we were actually a Christian nation - a country literally governed according to the teachings of Jesus Christ. I would sign up for that **** in a heartbeat.

Metlife as well. Any company not being a part of this is dumb. The NRA has 5 million members and by keeping this agreement going you will alienate way more people than your NRA customers.

If only this logic worked more often.

Still though, the NRA/GOP are ****ting their pants now.

I’m an English Professor and I had to look that up.

Delaney Tarr on Chris Hayes today was great. It’s anazing how well spoken and calm she is. And she k ones how to talk in simple, clear language. I wish we could get her running for office.

So... why are the democrats so bad at this?

Like. There are some smart people there. With young people working for them. Why are they so bad at just calling out bull****?
02-24-2018 , 08:37 AM
Democrats have been part of the problem at least my entire life. They are sold out to the big corporate interests too. As long as the two party system persists, there is no fix for a lot of this nonsense.
02-24-2018 , 10:20 AM
To paraphrase Hunter S. Thompson, the Democrats would rather let the Republicans win than actually answer to their own base.

So in just one week of this we have sponsors dissolving their relationship with the NRA, Kasich and Rick Scott breaking away from the NRA, Florida introducing a bill putting new age limits on guns, and Trump maybe talking about gun control. Can we dispel the idea that the NRA is some kind of unstoppable political juggernaut? Bunch of sarcastic teenagers just shredded them with no help from the DNC.

Lets dispel this fiction that the DNC doesn't know what they're doing. They know exactly what they're doing.

"No help from the DNC" makes it less impressive not more.

Seriously, **** them. Worse than useless.

Add Delta and United to the list.
