Let's see. Where should we even start. Nobody specifically mentioned handguns except for you. Just another talking point misdirection by a right winger. Telling and predictable. You know what does strike a parallel? You know what WILL be obvious? Things like this: opposing the NRA, universal background checks, banning all semi-automatic and automatic weapons, more funding for mental health, a larger social safety net, registering every single gun - every one of them, zero sales loopholes like gun shows or private transactions. It's all tied together, and the Republican party doesn't want to fix any of it. Your attempt to change the narrative need to be thrown in the garbage.

I a more opposed to guns than you are. The subject I changed it to was the subject of ANALOGIES.

Something is happening. Emma has gained 70K new followers on Twitter since my last post from about 6 hours ago. If you refresh her profile, she's gaining 20-30 followers every few seconds. It's remarkable. Right now she has 665,405 followers.

A few min later and now 665,830 followers

Many of the parkland kids were involved in a debate program that.covered gun control.

They were more prepared than most teenagers.

Quote:

When students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High debated gun control in class last November, they never imagined they were preparing to lead a national discussion on how to prevent school shootings.

As the debate team filled Google docs with research on state laws, brainstormed arguments for and against universal background checks and wrote speeches, they were amassing information that would later help them formulate arguments on national TV, in face-to-face meetings with Florida legislators and at vigils for their murdered classmates.

Yep!

Education. Clearly a liberal conspiracy.

Emma Gonzalez has gained over 50K followers overnight. On the weekend. That's young people doing this, not LOLOlds.

Their revenue has shifted. (Maybe a change in the tax law?)

"Program service revenue (Prior year) $5.8m (Current year) $107m" (+$101m)

On page 9 (Part VIII) you can see that member fees amount to $100m out of their $228m budget. (The NRA claims 5 million members with annual membership dues starting at $28) That number seems significant.
I didn't look at the tax return, just skimmed the article, but it seemed that they were saying membership was no longer the biggest source of revenue. But now I'm confused, is membership program service or a contribution and how do those numbers happen year over year legally?

Hitting them in the wallet is a great idea.

I'll believe it when I see it, but man I really hope a Spring Break boycott takes off.

As an added bonus the company that manufactuers roofies might go out of business too.

Gun nuts will just scream "This is why kids can't vote! They want to hurt their own economy!"

I'm confused by this, who quoted Hitler and what was the context?

In b4 Trump demands voting age be raised to 21.

(I hope I am joking.)

Sounds like this Federalist person posted a Hitler quote, slashing sentences out of the middle of it to make it say what she wanted, to suggest that doing something to protect the children = Hitler. The actual Hitler quote is to support eugenics.

He's gonna have to bump that number to about 50 to actually feel safe about the midterm elections.

You know twitter followers can be bought and paid for? I know she's not doing it but I wouldn't put a lot of faith in numbers alone.

I'm sure you saw the headlines about record numbers that showed up at the gun show in Florida this weekend?

Not all handguns are semi-auto. Have you never heard of a revolver?

They may not meet the definition of semi-auto but every time you pull the trigger a new round goes off...for 5 more times.

Is there a type of gun where you pull the trigger and no bullets come out? I'm ok with people owning those.
02-26-2018 , 10:06 AM
Lol Rara. Never change.

All I did was point out Emma Gonzalez gained a lot of followers overnight.

But go on, tell us more about this gun show and how it's relevant to a girl gaining Twitter followers.
