I guess I am just really cynical, but if Carlson does get fired, he will simply be replaced by someone else with similar views without missing a beat. O'Reilly was forced out, there was much rejoicing and he was merely replaced by another scumbag. Replacing one deplorable with another one doesn't really seem like if will matter much, IMO.

For those who didn't watch to the end, because you aren't masochists, they're pissed that people:

A) Discussed this all day today and questioned whether it's a widespread problem,

B) Blamed right wing politicians' rhetoric,

and

C) Blamed Trump,

Even though after Christians are killed by Islamic terrorists elsewhere in the world, nobody:

A) Discusses it all day,

or

B) Blames left wing politicians.

I mean, at this point Laura Ingraham is basically a half step shy of calling for modern Crusades and the extermination of all Muslims. The sad thing is, if she did a lot of her audience would cheer.

On some level, we really don't even comprehend what we're up against... nor do a lot of us want to. I don't know if I could mentally handle knowing the true depths or depravity of what we're up against.

Fortunately only the craziest will actually do it on their own; but if they were all told to by superiors... I wouldn't trust any of them.

I'm a somewhat frequent flyer with delta, over the last year I've seen at least two different arguments in SkyClubs between passengers arguing over whether the TV should be set to Fox or... something other than Fox (Fox seemed to be by far the most common, even for TVs behind the bar). Most recently I saw I guy ask the bartender in Raleigh to change it and when he made some offhand comment about them being nazis some boomer lady flipped her ****, yelled at the dude, and stormed out.

Apparently today Delta ordered all of their clubs to put their TVs on anything BUT cable news. reports are that ESPN is pretty common, I've seen CNBC before my first flight today, we'll see what happens at my connection.

Yeah CNN used to be the safe neutral choice, but now all the deplorables think it's the debbil.

Chiefsplanet has the pitchforks out for the KC Star - which they hate anyway because it's somewhat left of FoxNews - for breaking the story about Tyreek Hill under investigation. It's funny when you try to unravel what they think the Star did wrong - it's always their own damn confusion.

But they don't care - whatever they were originally angry about is old news and not relevant anymore. What matters is the KC Star (particularly the female reporter who broke the story) is fake news and needs to be abolished. Not great when the paper is already on life support and being slowly choked out by a vulture capitalist (home delivery is now $80/month - for a pamphlet).

In just a few years we've gone from grumbling about the MSM to RAGE that it all be banned outright. Thanks Trump!
