My pony might be slow, but Fox News is discovering they can get marks to pay for streaming deplorable-friendly content. All of the racism but none of the boring news coverage.

I noted that watching live. I heard there were something like 300 scientists working on this report. There aren't 300 scientists in the country who would all band together to put out a bull**** report that Trump would want. My best guess is CJ Keg is trying to pull off some semantic magic about any predictions in the report. For a comically simple hypothetical: if the report states the temperature in CA is going up .1 degrees a year for 30 years (shown by data), perhaps they put forward that that would continue. "It's likely this will continue and in 20 years temps will rise 2 degrees" or something similar and more articulated. "Has that happened, have the next 20 years happened yet?" "Well, no obviously not." "So do you have data on the next 20 years?" "Of course not, I don't understand, it's clear that--" "CHESSMATE NO DATA"

JESUS ****ING CHRIST - no wonder we're in idiocracy

Santorum is ****ing someone at CNN. There's no other explanation for why he's always on the screen. Last time the dude was relevant was maybe the 2008 Iowa Caucus? That man is sucking off a CNN executive, it just has to be. Prove me wrong, explain to me why a dark horse evangelical 2012 candidate is brought on a national network as an expert on anything. I don't see Mike Huckabee on CNN, no that Santorum fella is straight dishing out sexual favors for airtime.

Occam's razor says yes to this.

Fox News is doing a lot of time about Hillary and John Kerry's opinions on immigration in Europe.

lmao

You can defend any manner of human rights abuses by the Trump administration and they will pay you to come on and be a punching bag for the rest of their panel to wag fingers at, but criticizing Israel is a bridge too far
11-30-2018 , 01:39 AM
It is either bad faith posting or pure ignorance if you don't know what 'from the river to the sea" means in the context of the Israeli-Palestine conflict.

I don't know if he should keep his job or not and probably have a much more radical approach than he does, but that's like the least subtle dog-whistle you can possibly use. Playing dumb about it now is tea party level dishonest.

lololol goofy for suggesting that “from the river to the sea” is merely CRITICIZING israel

A GOP operative could go on cable news, suggest expelling all Arabs from Israel, and it wouldn't even raise eyebrows or get anyone fired

The asymmetry is staggering
11-30-2018 , 08:28 AM
The phrase can mean many things, for example advocating a single secular post-apartheid South Africa style state in Israel/Palestine. Many people use it as a dog whistle for ethnic cleansing/genocide. There's no reason to think MLH meant it as the latter. I wouldn't use the phrase but to instantly ascribe nefarious motivations to someone without evidence and fire him, rather than accepting his 'Maybe this wasn't the best words what I meant was...' apology is outrageous. They hire Rick ****ing Santorum and Corey ****ing Lewandowski ffs.

I'm not convinced CNN would keep a pundit that suggests you should expel all Arabs from Israel. If they do, **** them. In this context it sounds like a hypothetical whataboutism, exactly the type that is fond of by the Israeli right wing fascists on my feed.

Maybe he meant the Connecticut river and the Atlantic ocean, suggesting New England should be the new homeland of the Palestinian people. But he doesn't. He means what he means. What anyone means when they use the phrase "a free Palestine from the river to the sea".

This isn't the opposite side of a Rick Santorum. It's the same side. It's the side of right wing with no regards for human lives. They suck whether they are "pro-Israel" or "pro-Palestine" (both are idiotic categories).

Oppose apartheid → deplorables complain → get fired by CNN.

I'll continue not watching them.

Right, but he said he means a one state solution with equal rights for all, Arabs and Jews alike. He didn't mean the ethic cleansing of Jews from all of Israel/Palestine, and given the rest of his speech such an interpretation is ludicrous.
