Hannity's like Mr. Potter from It's A Wonderful Life

Has red carpet coverage of the correspondents' dinner been a thing before? It's on CNN right now. I just turned it on and they were interviewing SHUCK and Kellyanne Conway and off to the side Avenatti was hovering around in the shot like really close to Conway, it was bizarre. I could tell Sanders saw him; I don't know if he was just creeping around or waiting in line to be interviewed by CNN or what.
04-28-2018 , 07:26 PM
Red carpet used to be on CSPAN when Obama would do WHCD, maybe also on CNN then. There's a gif of the Avenatti thing in the main thread. 90% sure he was trolling her.

Ten year old homophobic posts zzz, but lying about it seems noteworthy? News anchors are supposedly reliable right? That's kinda a sine qua non. And she's been spouting total bollocks. That's not a big deal?
04-28-2018 , 07:50 PM
"I'm deeply sorry I wrote these horrible things but I don't think I wrote these horrible things, probably was Putin or something" is an interesting public relations strategy
04-28-2018 , 07:56 PM
Reid's 49, that seems too young to think you can hand wave in the direction of generic "hacking" to explain away something like that.
04-28-2018 , 09:47 PM
Whatever. I don't care about the Reid thing and she apologized for whatever she did like someone with actual integrity. It's just trolls who would literally let gays die if they had a chance. Hell, they probably did hack her.
04-28-2018 , 09:56 PM
she lied about being hacked and claimed she didn't write the stuff. That's the opposite of apologizing like someone with actual integrity.
04-28-2018 , 09:58 PM
Yeah. simplicitus your take is ****ing garbage.
04-28-2018 , 09:58 PM
she said she didn't remember writing that she thinks gay sex is weird. what more do you want out of this story?
04-28-2018 , 10:04 PM
I dgaf what happens, MSNBC seems like a good place for her, she should stay there. But saying she apologized with integrity is nonsense. In the same breath she "apologized" and then said that she doesn't think she wrote those things. There is no apology without owning her actions. And all this after concocting an elaborate and bizarre lie about Putin hacking her.
04-28-2018 , 10:09 PM
yeah man idk, I don't think prominent journalists should peddle elaborate lies about their past behavior. NBC obviously disagrees, Joy and Brian Williams ought to get a show together.
04-28-2018 , 10:11 PM
She spent like 15 minutes apologizing for it on her show today with people who called her out or whatever. I fast forwarded it because it was boring and I'm not an alt-right troll so I don't care. Do you guys know that a guy who spent $20k to take out an ad calling for the execution of 5 innocent black teens is President of the US?

I can't wait until the next dem is president, because every "scandalous" thing her or she does will already have been done 10x by Trump. It's gonna be hip hop bbq's every weekend. I want the next president to go to strip clubs and "make it rain". I want them to call all-ins pre-flop with J9s and get there.

My god this is an absolutely deplorable take. Unbelievable. "She apologized for whatever she did like someone with actual integrity" is such a delusional take it outdoes most delusional takes on t_d.

She didn't apologize for inventing an elaborate lie claiming to be a victim of hacking, and still said that she doesn't think she wrote the posts.

Again, scoreboard.

These disputes are for 2015.

I guess CNN decided to go with an unedited feed for the dinner. Michelle Wolf working blue.

But she LIED ABOUT BEING HACKED! (aka the default move of every gop congressperson and candidate who tweets offensive things.)

Do I expect more from her? Sure, but I'll let this one slide.

(By expect more, I mean about the lying. I'm more or less fine with being unconformable about gay sex, as long as that isn't used as an excuse to imprison, beat, or withhold their rights.)

Been DVRing it on CNN ("you know you're a politics nerd when..."), gonna check it out. Will probably also be on youtube soon. It usually is.

these duplexes(!) are the most painful thing you can look at, architecturally. you gotta really really not give a **** about anything except money to own these and rent them out to people. caravans in a trailer park look better. this is just absolutely soulcrushing. hannity sucks

Of Hannity's decision to snap up the property out of foreclosure, Robinson added: "If he had the money to buy all that during the bad times, that's how you get ahead. I wish I'd have had that myself, but it just didn't work out that way."

Now working as a property manager more than 100 miles away in Pell City, Ala., Robinson has not given up on real estate. Even with more big corporations swooping in to buy properties, he said, there are still deals to be had.

"It's a free market," he said. "They have opportunities. There's also opportunities for a little guy like me, to kind of move around and manipulate in between the big guys. … There are opportunities for all of us."
Yaaaaaah man, totally. Like every day I sit here and think to myself, if only I had an extra hundred million laying around during the recession, I could have gotten ahead. America's delusional optimism about economic opportunities never ceases to amaze me.

just deeply embarrassing stuff here. i think the next step is going full twitter resistance hero and say everyone that thinks this is bad hates black women.

the JAR story is not particularly interesting in its own right. it is however extremely useful for exposing how little many of the people who claim to care about truth, facts, journalism, integrity, etc etc actually do.

Maggie HaberWOAT has Huckabeasts back, of course.
