So a timely story about current sayings must get equal coverage to an old one about a less prominent person simply because you think every story critical of a conservative has to be balanced by a story critical of a liberal?

my dad only gets his news from tv and he had no clue who joy reid even was let alone the controversy surrounding her.
So seems like the nightly news didn’t cover it because their audience doesn’t know who she is and not political bias.

Because you seem surprised at how the internet works? People are sending you link after link proving you wrong and you are like "WTF is this? I can't read everything!"

Joy Reid - someone your father has never heard of - having 10 year old blog posts unearthed deserves the same coverage on national televised news as Laura Ingraham - a much more well-known figure - getting into a fight with the Parkland kids, who have also been a large and current news story?

Hahahahahahahahaha

proving me wrong? the msm has been ignoring it for the most part, at least on tv. that's most of the msm as far as where people actually get their news from.

Hahahahahahahahaha
if it was about bill o'reilly and 10 year old blog posts about being homophobic the left would be all over it and you know it.

Let's assume for the sake of argument you're correct, that this has had no TV coverage on the national 1 hr news programs. Then, I say rightly so.

So I did some playing around. I turned off my blocking, hit refresh on the WSJ article and sure enough, I could no longer view it. I turned blocking back on then enabled individual elements until I could no longer view the article. I was able to pinpoint the element that needs to be blocked.

To view a WSJ article, you need to block the script sts3.wsj.net

Incognito mode has nothing to do with it.

Because she is a woman of little importance, gay issues are not timely in the context of other news, and her comments are really old.

hahahahahahahaha. a news anchor on the left's flagship cable news channel is a homophobe and the tv news channels ignore it and she isn't getting pulled from her job? that is of little importance? ok brah.

Yo, I can guarantee you I can find some 10 year old homophobic posts by Bill O'Reilly, and it's not news.

Not O'Reilly, but...

Tucker Carlson Brags About Beating Up a Gay Man

Sean Hannity Was Once Fired for Anti-Gay Comments

Haven't seen a big deal made out of either of these things in the "mainstream" media.

"The left" might, but we're talking about TV news apparently lol not "the left", and that argument STILL fails because Bill O'Reilly is also way more famous than Joy Reid!

Hahahahaha how are you so bad at this

news of the day: donald trump cheated on the first lady with multiple sex workers having full penetrative sex and never once used a condom

conservative response: 25 years ago bill clinton got a bj from an intern

news of the day: sean hannity's secret lawyer is donald trump's lawyer and he got tens of millions of dollars from HUD and he never thought to tell anybody about that as he broadcasted on those topics all day every day, and he's since admitted it but carried on freely pontificating conspiracy theories on those topics anyway

conservative response: 10 years ago joy reid admitted she gets grossed out when thinking about gay sex, but she says it was a hack job and it probably was a hack job, i mean, who could ever think that gay sex is gross? lol fire her immediately if true, but also show tucker carlson some gay porno and get his reaction real quick.

I lol'ed.

Although I prefer the form:

i'm trolling? No trolling, no trolling. You're the trolling.

i can't read good? No read good, no read good. You're the read good.

Nice job!

Worked for me. Thx!

BTW, I've noticed tweets linking an article that is normally paywalled will often allow you to view it. So, another approach to reading a paywalled article is to seach for a tweet that links it. This is useful for reading things like the American Lawyer and similar pubs.

After I posted that last night, I noticed some random behavior. Sometimes I couldn't view the article with the same exact settings, even after clearing all browser data. Then I'd change nothing, hit Refresh and it worked again. I must have spent half an hour trying to find the pattern (even tried VPN), before giving up and going to bed. I'm no web developer so idk what was going on.

I'm glad my supposed fix worked for you patron.

As simplicitus said, spoofing the referer to Facebook or Twitter will also do the trick for WSJ:
Type facebook.com/l.php?u=
Then paste the WSJ url at the end.

That works every time regardless of scripts etc but I wasn't happy with that, I wanted to crack the code lol.

the joy reid thing doesn't need to broken down into some awful 'but your side does this, what about this guy, waaaaaah' ***** fight. it doesn't really matter. laughing at a useless media buffoon setting themselves on fire with their own stupidity ought to be a bipartisan pleasure.

Joy Reid update: the "internet archive was hacked" gambit failed, how about claiming that the hacking happened in REAL TIME when she was a ~nobody morning show host or whatever in Florida? Surely that will put out this fire!

bahahahahahaha

In Georgia, Sean Hannity is just another landlord hiking the rent

these duplexes(!) are the most painful thing you can look at, architecturally. you gotta really really not give a **** about anything except money to own these and rent them out to people. caravans in a trailer park look better. this is just absolutely soulcrushing. hannity sucks
